Casio’s premium MR-G line may be getting a fresh look soon, with a new G-Shock MRG-B2100D colorway rumored to arrive in early 2026. The upcoming model, said to be the Casio G-Shock MRG-B2100D-2A, would expand the high-end “2100” series by joining the existing MRG-B2100D-1A that launched in October 2024.
According to the latest chatter, the MRG-B2100D-2A keeps the same elevated materials and build that make the MR-G range so desirable. Expect a silver-tone titanium case and matching titanium bracelet, paired with a Cobarion alloy bezel. Where the new version appears to stand apart is on the dial: instead of the original black face, this rumored second edition is expected to feature a blue-green dial that changes the watch’s whole personality while keeping the signature G-Shock toughness.
The dial is also expected to retain the distinctive kigumi-inspired geometric pattern seen on the earlier release. Beyond the design appeal, that lattice-like structure serves a purpose: it helps light reach the solar panel underneath, supporting Casio’s solar charging system and keeping the watch powered with minimal effort from the wearer.
Functionally, the MRG-B2100 lineup focuses on a clean analog layout backed by serious timekeeping tech. The watch is expected to offer radio-controlled time calibration via Multiband 6, along with three hands, a simple date window, and a day-of-the-week indicator for everyday practicality. Bluetooth connectivity is also part of the package, enabling automatic time adjustments, and pairing with the Casio Watches app to unlock features like a phone finder tool. For nighttime or low-light conditions, Casio’s Super Illuminator LED backlight should make quick time checks easy.
As for availability, rumors point to a release sometime in January 2026, though Casio has not made an official announcement yet. Pricing is expected to land at ¥572,000 (around $3,665), reportedly in line with the earlier model’s suggested retail. Regional pricing can vary significantly, however, and the existing MRG-B2100D-1A has been listed higher in markets like the United States and parts of Europe.
