Casio’s newest limited-edition G-Shock has arrived in the US, and it is one of the flashiest versions of the classic square watch in recent memory. The G-Shock x BlackEyePatch DW-5600BEP-9 takes the familiar DW-5600 design and gives it a bold all-gold makeover inspired by Tokyo streetwear culture.
The special-edition model is priced at $165 in the United States. While the watch has now appeared on Casio’s US product page, it is not available to purchase just yet. Interested buyers can currently sign up for email notifications to be alerted when orders open.
This release marks the third collaboration between Casio’s G-Shock line and BlackEyePatch, a Tokyo-based streetwear label known for its hip-hop-influenced style. Instead of the more understated look often associated with the DW-5600 series, this version embraces a louder design with a gold-tone resin case and matching resin band.
The watch keeps the legendary square silhouette that traces its roots back to the original G-Shock DW-5000. That familiar shape is paired with a black dial, a negative LCD display, and yellow digits that complement the gold exterior. BlackEyePatch branding is placed above the display, giving the watch a strong identity without changing the core layout of the DW-5600.
Casio has also added a few special details for collectors. The case back features an engraved BlackEyePatch logo, while the transparent band keeper adds a subtle modern touch to the otherwise gold-focused design. The watch also comes in special packaging, with a black box featuring the phrase “Time Is Money” in large white lettering.
Although the DW-5600BEP-9 stands out visually, it still delivers the durability and practical features expected from a G-Shock. The watch is shock-resistant and offers 200 meters of water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear, outdoor use, and casual sports activities.
Feature-wise, the limited-edition G-Shock includes a 1/100-second stopwatch, a 24-hour countdown timer, a multifunction alarm, an hourly time signal, an LED backlight, and a full auto-calendar. Casio lists the battery life at approximately five years using a CR2016 battery.
The G-Shock x BlackEyePatch DW-5600BEP-9 measures 48.9 × 42.8 × 13.4 mm and weighs 53 grams. Its resin case and bezel help keep it lightweight while preserving the tough construction the G-Shock series is known for.
With its classic square shape, streetwear branding, gold finish, and limited-edition status, the Casio G-Shock DW-5600BEP-9 is likely to appeal to both collectors and fans of bold everyday watches. At $165, it offers the familiar reliability of a DW-5600 with a design that is far more eye-catching than the standard models.
