AV Access has announced the iDock B23, a new flagship KVM switch and docking station built for competitive gamers, streamers, and anyone who needs a fast, clean way to share multiple monitors and peripherals between a desktop PC and a laptop. Launching as part of the company’s iDock lineup, the iDock B23 combines an 8K-capable triple-monitor KVM with a 12-in-1 dock, aiming to replace the usual mess of adapters, cables, and manual re-plugging with a single, performance-focused hub.
At its core, the iDock B23 is designed around what matters most in fast-paced gaming: clarity, smooth motion, and instant control. AV Access says it supports up to 8K at 60Hz output, with high refresh rate options including 4K at up to 165Hz and 1440p/1080p at up to 240Hz. It also includes full support for G-Sync and FreeSync variable refresh rate, helping reduce tearing and blur so on-screen action stays fluid and responsive during high-speed play.
Multi-monitor users are a major focus. With triple-monitor support, desktop gamers can spread a setup across up to three external displays, keeping a match on the main screen while dedicating other monitors to maps, chat, streaming controls, performance stats, or team communications. For laptop-based workstations, the iDock B23 can extend the display across two 4K at 60Hz screens plus an additional 4K at 30Hz monitor, offering a flexible layout for productivity and content creation.
Switching between systems is built to be as frictionless as possible. Instead of unplugging HDMI/DisplayPort cables and USB devices every time you move from a gaming rig to a work laptop, the iDock B23 is designed to switch instantly using either a front-panel button or the included wired remote. AV Access emphasizes a “zero-lag” switching experience where the keyboard, mouse, and displays are immediately available. It also supports waking sleeping PCs automatically, turning the jump from a work session to a game (or back again) into a one-click action.
The docking side of the iDock B23 is meant to eliminate desk clutter by consolidating common ports into one hub. AV Access describes it as a 12-in-1 docking station with USB 3.0 and USB-C connections, Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, plus HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor configurations. It supports up to 10Gbps data transfer, provides up to 100W USB-C charging, and shares the Gigabit LAN connection across both connected systems—an important detail for gamers and streamers who rely on stable, low-latency networking.
According to AV Access CTO Bill Liao, the iDock B23 was created to address the everyday pain points of high-performance setups: complicated wiring, crowded desks, and the hassle of juggling multiple computers. The company positions the device as a single solution for competitive gaming, live streaming, and creator workflows such as 8K video editing and graphics-heavy design.
AV Access says the iDock B23 is now available through its official sales channels, including its Amazon Store. The company, known for professional AV and conferencing gear, develops a wide range of products spanning KVM switches and docking stations, extenders, splitters, switchers, AV over IP solutions, and wireless conferencing tools used across gaming, smart homes, offices, education, retail, and healthcare.
