ASUS Unveils ROG RTX 5090 Matrix: Futuristic Design with Circular Shroud and Dazzling Infinity Mirror RGB

ASUS is gearing up to launch an exciting new ROG Matrix design for the GeForce RTX 5090, as hinted in a recent teaser video. This GPU promises a stunning shroud and RGB lighting that’s unmatched by any other edition.

Following the ROG Astral, ASUS is reportedly working on another premium version of the GeForce RTX 5090. This GPU features an impressive triple-fan design with a mesmerizing Infinity Mirror ROG branding.

Though ASUS has introduced similar editions before, the new ROG Matrix boasts a distinctly fresh look compared to its predecessors. The company offers a range of premium versions for the GeForce RTX 5090, such as the ROG Strix and ROG Astral, often priced higher than models from other brands. Previously, the luxurious 5kg Gold Astral RTX 5090 was unveiled with a staggering value of over $500K.

While the new Matrix edition won’t reach such exorbitant prices, it’s expected to be no less than $3000, following current pricing trends for the RTX 5090. In the teaser, ASUS ROG shared glimpses of this innovative design, rumored to be for the RTX 5090. The ROG Matrix series is typically reserved for flagship models, suggesting this is indeed an RTX 5090.

The design reveals a circular shroud that is noticeably larger than the rest of the GPU. This additional space allows for a custom appearance featuring the Infinity Mirror design with customizable ROG branding. Although only the second fan is somewhat visible, it’s believed that the third fan is of the same size, reinforcing a balanced aesthetic.

In contrast to the ROG Matrix RTX 4090, which used an AIO cooling system, this iteration appears to employ an air-cooling solution. Interestingly, the design takes cues from the ROG Matrix RTX 2080 Ti, the flagship Turing card, which also incorporated an Infinity Mirror design but with an integrated AIO cooler.

The official announcement of this GPU is anticipated soon. It is expected to offer a significant boost clock out of the box, with a PCB designed for enthusiasts aiming to push frequencies even higher through manual overclocking.
