Asus Vivobook S14 and S16 Get New Intel Core 7 350 Configurations With 16GB RAM and Long Battery Life
Asus has expanded its Vivobook lineup with new Vivobook S14 and Vivobook S16 configurations powered by Intel’s Core 7 350 processor. The latest models are now appearing in several markets, offering a mix of slim designs, modern connectivity, AI-ready hardware, and everyday performance for students, professionals, and home users.
The two laptops share many of the same core specifications, including 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, 512GB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, Intel integrated graphics, and Windows 11 availability in select regions. However, they differ in display size, refresh rate, weight, and battery life claims.
The Asus Vivobook S14 is the more compact option, featuring a 14-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The screen uses a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives users more vertical space for documents, websites, spreadsheets, and multitasking compared to traditional 16:9 panels. Asus lists the display with up to 300 nits of brightness and 100% sRGB color coverage, making it suitable for general productivity, streaming, browsing, and casual creative work.
The larger Asus Vivobook S16 comes with a 16-inch IPS display, also using a 1920 x 1200 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. Its main advantage is the faster 144Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, animations, and supported games feel smoother. For users who prefer a larger workspace or want a more fluid viewing experience, the Vivobook S16 is likely the more appealing choice.
Both laptops are powered by the Intel Core 7 350 processor. This chip features six cores and can reach clock speeds of up to 4.8GHz, giving the Vivobook S14 and S16 enough power for everyday computing, office work, web browsing, video calls, media playback, and light creative tasks. The processor also includes integrated Intel Graphics, removing the need for a dedicated GPU in these thin-and-light machines.
Asus has also included an NPU rated at up to 17 TOPS, giving the laptops support for certain AI-accelerated workloads. While this does not turn them into high-end AI workstations, it does help prepare the devices for modern software features that can take advantage of dedicated AI processing.
Memory and storage are identical across the newly listed configurations. Both models include 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which should be enough for smooth multitasking in daily use. However, the memory is soldered, meaning it cannot be upgraded later. Storage is handled by a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and the listed specifications mention an M.2 2280 slot for storage, which may allow users to replace or upgrade the SSD depending on the region and configuration.
Portability remains a major focus of the Vivobook series. The Vivobook S14 weighs around 1.2 kg, making it easy to carry in a backpack or laptop bag. The Vivobook S16 is heavier at approximately 1.5 kg, but it is still relatively light for a 16-inch laptop. Both models include a 52.5Wh battery.
Battery life claims vary between the two sizes. Asus states that the Vivobook S14 can deliver more than 20 hours of video playback, while the Vivobook S16 is rated for over 15 hours. Real-world battery life will depend on brightness, workload, wireless usage, and background apps, but these figures suggest that both laptops are designed for long sessions away from a charger.
Connectivity is another strong point. The new Vivobook S14 and S16 configurations include two USB-C ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. This port selection should be practical for users who connect external monitors, accessories, storage drives, or wired audio devices.
Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Both laptops also feature a 1080p webcam, which is useful for video meetings, online classes, remote work, and everyday calls. In India, the listed configurations ship with Windows 11 Home, though software packages and operating system details may differ depending on the country.
Pricing depends on the market. In India, the Asus Vivobook S14 configuration S5452MA-TM198WS is listed at ₹110,990, while the Vivobook S16 configuration S5652MA-TK191WS is priced at ₹113,990. In Singapore, the Vivobook S14 model S5452MA-TM224W is listed at S$1,749 after a reduction from S$2,099.
European pricing also varies. In Italy, the Vivobook S16 model S5652MA-TK186W is priced at €999. In Poland, the Vivobook S16 configuration S5652MA-TK107W is listed at PLN 4,999, although availability may be limited. In Serbia, the Vivobook S16 model S5652MA-TK122 is listed at RSD 109,999.
With the new Intel Core 7 350 configurations, Asus is giving buyers more options in the popular Vivobook S series. The Vivobook S14 is better suited for users who want a lighter and more compact laptop with strong battery life, while the Vivobook S16 is aimed at those who prefer a larger screen and smoother 144Hz display.
For shoppers looking for a modern Windows laptop with a slim build, 16GB RAM, fast SSD storage, Wi-Fi 6, USB-C charging, and a 16:10 display, the updated Asus Vivobook S14 and Vivobook S16 are worth considering, especially for productivity-focused users who want a balance of performance, portability, and battery life.
