Asus Goes Global with ROG GR70 Mini PC: Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, RTX 5070, and Up to 96GB RAM in a Compact Beast

Asus is taking its compact gaming desktop ambitions global with the ROG GR70, a mini PC that pairs high-end laptop-grade components with a space-saving chassis. First shown at CES 2026, the ROG GR70 is expected to reach international markets in February, giving gamers and power users another small-form-factor option that doesn’t skimp on performance.

While official pricing and regional availability haven’t been confirmed yet, the system is already listed in China at roughly the equivalent of $2,100. That figure suggests buyers in the US and Europe may see an even higher final price once local taxes and market adjustments are factored in.

Designed to look and feel like a true Republic of Gamers product, the GR70 leans into gaming styling with visible ROG branding throughout. Even more impressive is what Asus manages to fit inside a body measuring just 282.4 × 187.7 × 56.6 mm. The mini PC combines an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D APU with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU, aiming to deliver strong gaming and creator performance in a footprint that can easily fit on a desk, in a living room setup, or beside a multi-monitor workstation.

On the graphics side, Asus uses the mobile version of the RTX 5070, with power draw reaching up to 100 watts, plus an additional 15 watts via Dynamic Boost when needed. One potential limitation for some buyers is the listed 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which is modest by modern standards—especially for users targeting demanding settings or heavier creative workloads.

Memory and storage are more flexible. The ROG GR70 comes with 32 GB of DDR5 RAM out of the box and supports up to 96 GB across two slots, making it appealing for intensive multitasking, content creation, and productivity-heavy workflows. Storage includes a preinstalled 1 TB M.2 SSD, offering fast load times for games and applications right away.

Connectivity and display support also stand out for a mini PC. Asus says the GR70 can drive up to five 4K monitors simultaneously, which could be a major draw for streamers, creators, developers, and anyone building a compact multi-display workstation. For networking, it includes WiFi 7 alongside 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet, covering both cutting-edge wireless performance and reliable wired speeds.

With its global launch approaching, the Asus ROG GR70 is shaping up to be a serious mini PC contender for gamers who want a compact desktop without stepping down too far from full-size performance—especially if you value upgradeable RAM, fast storage, and strong connectivity in a small, gamer-focused chassis.
