Apple Unveils ‘It’s Glowtime’ iPhone 16 Event Set for September 9

Rumors initially suggested Apple would unveil the iPhone 16 lineup and other products on September 10, but the tech giant has officially announced that the event will occur a day earlier, on September 9. Dubbed ‘It’s Glowtime,’ the keynote is scheduled for 10:00 AM, inviting select media outlets and content creators.

Preparations for the event appear complete, with Apple wrapping up filming for its announcements. The event will likely follow the format of previous iPhone unveilings, featuring both an in-person press experience and a global livestream, most notably available on YouTube.

Anticipation surrounding the event isn’t limited to just the iPhone 16 series. Apple is expected to introduce several other products, including the Apple Watch Series 10, a new Apple Watch SE potentially featuring a plastic build instead of aluminum, and an updated Apple Watch Ultra. Additionally, the company is likely to reveal two versions of its popular AirPods: one equipped with Active Noise Cancellation and a more budget-friendly model without this feature.

Projections suggest that Apple plans to significantly ramp up production of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The largest model in the lineup is expected to dominate initial shipments, aiming for a target of 90 million units in 2024. A recent survey indicated that many consumers are waiting for enhancements such as improved cooling solutions and more competitive pricing before upgrading to the latest iPhone. For those choosing not to upgrade, financial constraints were the predominant reason.
