Anker Unveils Pocket-Size Fast Charger with Live Power Display and Intelligent Charging

Anker is teasing a compact 45W USB-C fast charger with a built-in digital display, and its latest preview focuses on a standout capability: switchable charging modes designed to balance speed with long-term battery health.

According to the teaser, the charger offers two distinct modes. The first is a slower, heat-reducing option aimed at minimizing battery wear over time. It prioritizes lower temperatures during a charging session, which can help extend the overall lifespan of your phone or tablet’s battery.

The second is called Smart Fast Charging, an adaptive power delivery mode that adjusts output based on the connected device’s current battery level. In this mode, the charger phases between 39W, 20W, and 8W automatically, delivering more power when it’s beneficial and scaling back as the battery fills to help manage heat and preserve health.

Toggling between modes looks simple: just double-tap the top of the adapter. The integrated display shows real-time charging status for both the charger and the connected device, giving users clear, at-a-glance insight into what’s happening.

Compatibility details shared so far highlight support for multiple Apple products, including the iPhone 17 lineup, iPad Air, iPad Pro, and iPad mini 6. It’s not yet clear whether the adaptive charging logic will extend to non-Apple devices.

Release timing and pricing haven’t been announced. If you’ve been waiting for a compact USB-C charger that combines smart, adaptive power delivery with a battery-friendly slow mode and a handy digital readout, this upcoming 45W model from Anker is one to watch.
