Anker’s next compact fast charger is coming into focus. New leaks point to a Nano 45W Wall Charger with a built-in smart display, Bluetooth, and app controls, giving the tiny brick some unusually advanced features for its size.
The latest images and specs suggest the charger measures 43 x 36 x 35 mm (about 1.7 x 1.4 x 1.4 inches). That makes it roughly 40% larger by volume than the current 45W Nano (model A2692), which comes in at 33 x 32 x 36.9 mm. The slight size bump likely makes room for the digital display and wireless connectivity, while keeping the overall footprint pocket-friendly.
One of the most intriguing additions is a new battery protection mode. A posted compatibility list calls out the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 families, plus USB-C iPads launched from 2020 onward. Full details aren’t confirmed, but the feature may pause charging if your device’s battery gets too warm, helping reduce heat-related wear. Anker already offers a similar Battery Temperature Protection Mode on select power banks, such as the 25K 165W Laptop Power Bank (model A1695), which temporarily stops charging when temperatures are too high or too low and resumes when they normalize. Expect the wall charger’s safety logic to work along similar lines.
Beyond safety smarts, the new 45W charger is shaping up to be a travel-ready all-rounder: a single USB-C port for universal fast charging, a scheduling feature to control when it delivers power, an onboard display to show charging status at a glance, Bluetooth for pairing, and folding prongs for easy packing. Internally identified as model A2693, the charger is expected to arrive in the US—potentially with a wider rollout—before the end of 2025.
Pricing hasn’t been finalized, but it’s expected to land above the current 45W Nano, which lists at $34.99 and is often discounted. With the added smart display, app integration, and battery protection mode, the premium makes sense for users who want a compact, travel-friendly charger that’s also smart about battery health.
