PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebration is still going strong, and it’s getting a stylish new chapter. Watchmaker Anicorn has announced two new PlayStation-themed watches arriving on December 18, including a highly limited mechanical model that’s likely to be on the radar of collectors and longtime fans.
The first release is the PlayStation Anicorn — Play Symbol, a quartz watch offered in two distinct looks: Light Mode and Dark Mode. Both versions come in a round case paired with a black leather strap, and each dial prominently features the classic PlayStation logo alongside the instantly recognizable PlayStation button symbols.
The Dark Mode version leans into a stealthier aesthetic with a black case and black dial, contrasted by a white PlayStation logo and colored PlayStation symbols. The Light Mode version flips the vibe: it features a silver case, a white dial, a black PlayStation logo, and symbols rendered in gray for a cleaner, brighter finish. Anicorn says both versions will ship in a transparent case, and they’re set to release at 10 PM EST on December 18.
For fans who want something more premium and closer to the original console’s design language, Anicorn is also launching the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch. This one takes inspiration from the first PlayStation, combining a distinctive 316L stainless steel octagonal case with a 42.8mm dial and quick-release FKM rubber straps. Inside is a Miyota 9039 mechanical movement, delivering about 42 hours of runtime when fully wound.
Details on the mechanical watch are packed with nods to PlayStation history. The dial places the PlayStation symbols at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, the crown is inscribed with the word “power,” and the straps feature tiny PlayStation symbols as subtle accents. It also includes sapphire glass protection and a 5 ATM water resistance rating, making it as practical as it is collectible. And for anyone tracking scarcity, Anicorn says only 300 units of the PlayStation Limited Edition Mechanical Watch will be made when it launches on December 18. It will also ship in a special retail box and includes a PlayStation badge.
Anicorn isn’t stopping at watches, either. The company is also introducing a Memory Capsule with NFC, designed to look like the original PlayStation memory card. According to Anicorn, users will be able to save, view, and overwrite content on the Memory Capsule, blending retro styling with a modern utility twist.
With two PlayStation 30th anniversary watches—one quartz in Light Mode and Dark Mode, and one limited-run mechanical edition—plus a memory card-inspired NFC accessory, this drop is shaping up to be a standout for PlayStation fans, horology enthusiasts, and collectors looking for officially themed gear that goes beyond the usual merch.
