The rumored Amazfit Balance 2 XT smartwatch has captured attention once again, appearing in a new document that hints at exciting features. This latest file confirms certification for a contactless payment system and offers insights into the watch’s operating system. Speculation suggests this could be an upscale version of the recently introduced Balance 2, featuring a sleek titanium casing.
Initially, the Balance 2 made its debut in China in May 2025, expanding globally by June. The Balance 2 XT started making waves earlier in the year and was even spotted in an FCC filing.
Now, a document from EMVCo has surfaced, indicating approval for Amazfit’s contactless payment solution. The watch is identified with the model number A2546, though earlier rumors suggested different numbers. Interestingly, it’s expected to run on Zepp OS 4.0, while the standard Balance 2 uses Zepp OS 5.0.
The Balance 2 XT is anticipated to be a premium edition, boasting the elegant touch of a titanium casing. The EMVCo document also hints at the inclusion of the Zepp Pay contactless payment feature, similar to the regular model, though currently limited to European regions.
As of now, Amazfit has not officially announced the Balance 2 XT, leaving the release date and pricing under wraps. However, it’s expected to be priced higher than the standard Balance 2, which retails for $299.99 on Amazon.
