ZOTAC Raises GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU Prices as VRAM Costs Continue to Climb
GPU buyers may have another reason to hold off on upgrading. ZOTAC has reportedly introduced a new round of price adjustments for its GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards, with the biggest increase hitting the China-focused GeForce RTX 5090D V2.
The latest move comes as rising DRAM costs continue to push VRAM prices higher, putting pressure on graphics card manufacturers and distributors. While the increases appear to be focused on the Chinese market for now, similar pricing trends could affect global GPU markets if memory costs remain elevated.
According to supply chain information shared by ChannelGate, ZOTAC’s June 2026 distributor pricing policy is now in effect. The report claims that changes in supply, demand, and upstream component costs have caused a temporary rebound in distributor pricing across several product lines.
The largest reported increase applies to the ZOTAC GeForce RTX 5090D V2. This model is said to have gone up by 2,000 yuan, which is roughly $295. That is a major jump for a graphics card that is already positioned at the very high end of the market.
The RTX 5090D V2 is a China-specific version of NVIDIA’s flagship Blackwell gaming GPU. Even before this latest adjustment, the card was already expensive, with launch pricing reportedly near $2,300 in China. Some custom editions have appeared at significantly higher prices, making the additional increase especially frustrating for gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts looking for top-tier performance.
Other GeForce RTX 50 series models are also seeing price changes, though the increases are much smaller.
ZOTAC’s reported June price changes include:
RTX 5090D V2: Up by 2,000 yuan, around $295
RTX 5080: Entry-level models up by 100 yuan, around $14; other models remain unchanged
RTX 5070 series: General increase of around 100 yuan, around $14, across the lineup
RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and RTX 5060 series: Up by 50 yuan, around $7
Other models: No reported price change
Although a $7 to $14 increase may not sound dramatic, repeated price hikes can quickly add up. For buyers already dealing with elevated graphics card prices, even small increases can make a new gaming PC or GPU upgrade harder to justify.
The GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 series appear to be less affected than the RTX 5090D V2, but the direction of the market is clear. Manufacturers are reacting to higher memory pricing, and consumers may continue to feel the impact as VRAM becomes more expensive.
The GeForce RTX 5060 series is also included in the adjustment, with a smaller 50 yuan increase. These cards are expected to appeal to more budget-conscious gamers, so even minor pricing changes could matter in a segment where value is especially important.
For now, the GeForce RTX 5050 does not appear to be affected by ZOTAC’s latest price changes. However, if VRAM prices continue to rise, lower-end models may not remain untouched for long.
This latest development follows broader signs of price pressure across the PC hardware industry. Other manufacturers have also begun adjusting pricing across product lines, suggesting that the issue is not limited to a single brand or graphics card series.
The concern for gamers is that GPU prices are already high, and repeated increases could further slow demand. Many PC builders have been waiting for prices to stabilize before upgrading, but ongoing DRAM and VRAM cost increases may delay that recovery.
If more board partners follow ZOTAC’s lead, the GeForce RTX 50 series could become even more expensive in the coming months.
