Yasmine Enters the Street Fighter 6 Arena This August

Street Fighter 6 DLC character Yasmine launches August 3 as the first Year 4 fighter

Capcom has confirmed that Yasmine, the first DLC character in Street Fighter 6 Year 4, will join the roster on August 3 across all available platforms. Players who own or purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass will be able to unlock her at launch.

Yasmine brings a fast, stylish, and aggressive fighting style inspired by Eskrima, making her a standout addition to the Street Fighter 6 lineup. Hailing from the Philippines, she learned to fight alongside her Kuya, or older brother, under the guidance of her Lolo, her grandfather. After her brother suddenly disappeared, Yasmine set aside her Karambit knife. However, after watching FooTube videos featuring a certain French supermodel, she was inspired to begin a new journey and cut a path toward finding her missing sibling.

Her combat style is built around speed, pressure, and sharp mix-ups. Yasmine uses high-speed Eskrima techniques to close gaps, extend combos, and overwhelm opponents. Several of her attacks can place her into Bayani Mode, a powered-up state that appears to be central to her game plan.

One of her key techniques is Daloy ng Tubig, a quick forward-moving knife strike designed to start pressure or extend combos. This can lead into Alon, a follow-up attack where Yasmine unleashes a multi-slice hit. Depending on the strength of the attack used, Alon ends differently, and successful strikes can activate Bayani Mode.

Talim ng Hangin gives Yasmine another strong approach tool. With this technique, she spins forward into a low sweep, allowing her to close distance or bait enemy attacks depending on the version used. If it connects successfully, she can also enter Bayani Mode.

Mukha ng Langit adds an aerial mix-up to her arsenal. Yasmine leaps into a front flip and can strike with either a forward swipe or an upside-down spinning back hit, making it harder for opponents to predict her next move. Lipad ng Agila sends her into the air with a flurry of kicks, creating a multi-hit attack that can pressure opponents from above.

Yasmine also has access to Pangil sa Likuran, a swirling projectile that moves at different speeds. This gives her another way to chase down opponents, control space, and create openings during a match.

Her Super Arts further emphasize her explosive fighting style. Hiwa ng Kalangitan, her Level 1 Super Art, launches the opponent into the air with a kick before slamming them back down and transitioning Yasmine into Bayani Mode. Her Level 2 Super Art, Nakatagong Lakas, lets her focus her energy for a temporary boost, allowing her to use special moves while remaining in Bayani Mode. During this Super Art, she can also perform Linya ng Liwanag, a technique where she dashes past the opponent and strikes from behind.

For her Level 3 Super Art, Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita, Yasmine spins her opponent, gathers energy, and finishes with a devastating full-force attack. It gives her a dramatic and powerful finisher that fits her fast and elegant fighting identity.

Yasmine will arrive with two outfits. Outfit 1 features her Eskrima combat attire, highlighting her traditional martial arts background. Outfit 2 shows her in a school uniform, offering a different look for players who want to customize her appearance. Outfit 2 can be unlocked by maxing out her Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode or by using Fighter Coins.

Yasmine is only the beginning of the Street Fighter 6 Year 4 roster. After her August release, Capcom plans to add Arjun in the fall, followed by guest character Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series in early 2027. Bosch is also scheduled to join the game later in 2027.

Her launch will arrive alongside Battle Balance adjustments for the entire Street Fighter 6 roster. Players should expect changes across the game, making August 3 an important date not only for those interested in trying Yasmine, but also for anyone actively playing ranked matches, casual battles, or competitive events.

Street Fighter 6 first launched in June 2023 for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. With Yasmine leading the Year 4 content lineup, the game is set to continue expanding with new fighters, fresh strategies, and more reasons for players to return to the fight.
