Xiaomi has introduced a refreshed home cooling option in China: the 2026 Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1HP, rated at New Level 1 Energy Efficiency. Positioned as an upgraded version of the previous model, this latest release focuses on smarter energy use, faster temperature changes, and easier maintenance through app-connected features.
One of the standout upgrades is its “next-generation” energy-saving approach. Xiaomi pairs the unit with an energy-saving algorithm designed to intelligently cut power consumption by up to 30%, which could be appealing for households looking to reduce electricity bills during peak cooling and heating seasons.
Performance-wise, the air conditioner delivers an airflow rate of 740 m³/h and offers three airflow modes: high, low, and circulating. Xiaomi also highlights the hardware behind the airflow, including a 108 mm wide cross-flow fan blade design. For everyday comfort, the company claims the unit can begin noticeably heating or cooling a room in as little as three minutes, aimed at users who want quicker relief when temperatures swing.
Efficiency is another major selling point. The 2026 Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1HP is listed with an Annual Performance Factor (APF) of 5.45, underscoring Xiaomi’s push to market the model as a high-efficiency choice in its category.
Smart home integration is built in through HyperOS Connect. Once connected, owners can manage the air conditioner remotely using the Xiaomi app, making it easier to adjust settings when away from home or fine-tune comfort without getting up. Xiaomi also leans into low-maintenance ownership with self-cleaning support for both the indoor and outdoor units. The app can provide reminders and notifications if dirt buildup or blockages are detected, helping users keep performance steady and avoid common maintenance issues.
In China, the 2026 Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner Super Energy Saving 1HP is priced at CNY 1,699 (around $249). Xiaomi has not confirmed whether this model will expand to other markets, such as Europe, where the company already offers other Mijia air conditioner options.
