Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner GentleAir brings AI-powered comfort to smart homes
Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Air Conditioner GentleAir, a new smart cooling and heating system designed for modern connected homes. Built to deliver more personalized comfort, the GentleAir uses artificial intelligence to learn user preferences, adjust airflow, and automatically fine-tune settings based on changing conditions.
The Mijia Air Conditioner GentleAir is aimed at people who want a more hands-off climate control experience. Instead of constantly changing the temperature or fan settings manually, users can rely on the unit’s AI features to make real-time adjustments. Xiaomi says the system can respond to weather conditions and personal comfort habits, helping maintain a more pleasant indoor environment throughout the day and night.
One of the biggest claims around the GentleAir is improved energy efficiency. Xiaomi says the air conditioner can boost efficiency by up to 24.5%, though real-world results will depend on several factors, including room size, outdoor temperature, installation quality, usage patterns, and the selected operating mode.
Smart home integration is another key part of the GentleAir’s appeal. The air conditioner can be controlled remotely through the Xiaomi Home app, allowing users to change settings even when they are away from home. It also supports voice control through Google Assistant, making it easier to adjust the temperature, switch modes, or manage comfort settings without using a remote.
Xiaomi has also focused on sleep comfort. The GentleAir features an automatic display brightness adjustment system that reacts to ambient light. This helps reduce unwanted glare at night, creating a darker and more relaxing bedroom environment for sleep.
The air conditioner offers three airflow modes designed for different comfort needs. Halo Flow distributes cool air in a circular pattern to reduce direct drafts, which can be useful for people who dislike cold air blowing directly on them. Canopy Flow sends air from the top down, helping cool a wider area more evenly. Carpet Flow is designed for heating, pushing warm air near the floor so it can rise naturally and spread through the room.
Fast temperature control is another highlight. Xiaomi claims the GentleAir can begin delivering cool air in around 30 seconds and provide full heating in about 60 seconds. This could make it especially useful during hot summer days or cold mornings when quick comfort is needed.
The Mijia Air Conditioner GentleAir will be available in four capacity options: 2.6 kW, 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW, and 7.0 kW. These different versions are intended to suit a range of room sizes, from smaller bedrooms to larger living areas.
Pricing and international availability have not yet been confirmed. However, with its AI-driven comfort features, smart home controls, multiple airflow modes, and energy-saving focus, the Xiaomi Mijia Air Conditioner GentleAir could become an appealing option for users looking to upgrade their home climate control system.
