Xiaomi has announced the launch of a global beta program for its HyperOS operating system, inviting users who want early access to new features and system enhancements. The beta program, known as the Beta Tester Recruitment, is open to all users worldwide and comes without any restrictions for those interested in participating.
After making a shift from MIUI to HyperOS with the global release of the POCO X6 Pro, Xiaomi is further expanding the reach of its new operating system. The HyperOS update has already been rolled out to a list of devices, including popular models like the Xiaomi 12T Pro and POCO F5 Pro.
To join the beta program, users can simply navigate to the Xiaomi Community app, click on ‘ME’, and then select ‘Beta Testing’. Xiaomi has made it clear that any user looking to join this program must be using the Global ROMs on their devices.
Despite the excitement of being at the forefront of testing new software, Xiaomi advises users to take necessary precautions, such as backing up their data, before transitioning to the HyperOS beta builds. Additionally, the company delineates that recruitment will be done gradually across different models and versions, and will start with the Global site.
Participants are also reminded to ensure their bootloader (BL) lock is in the secured state before upgrading. Should users encounter difficulties upgrading despite a locked BL, they are directed to seek assistance from local service stores.
For those who may have previously joined Xiaomi beta programs, the company has stated that existing permissions will be retained for a while. However, it’s advisable to reapply through the current method for easier status tracking.
To maintain an organized feedback process, beta testers are instructed to use the Services & Feedback app to report any bugs they encounter, rather than turning to alternative communication channels.
While Xiaomi has not disclosed all details regarding the new beta program, the initiative underscores their commitment to providing users with a chance to experience the latest developments ahead of official releases through OTA updates.
Users and fans are encouraged to share information about the beta program, as every shared link contributes to spreading the news about this exciting opportunity.
