Xiaomi’s T-series phones have built a reputation for delivering near-flagship features at a more accessible price, and the next lineup may be closer than expected. After the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro launched globally in September 2025—standouts in the “sub-flagship” category thanks in part to their Leica camera system—attention is now shifting to what could be the Xiaomi 17T series.
Fresh evidence suggests the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro are moving toward an international launch. Two new Xiaomi devices have appeared in IMDA certification listings in Singapore, carrying the model numbers 2602DPT53G and 2602EPTC0G. Based on earlier leak information, these are believed to correspond to the global variants of the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, respectively. While certification documents rarely reveal detailed hardware information, an IMDA approval is typically a strong sign that a wider release is in preparation.
Although the listing doesn’t confirm specs, rumors point to a Xiaomi 17T series that leans heavily into performance and battery improvements. The standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to use a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, positioning it as a powerful daily driver for users who prioritize speed, efficient multitasking, and smooth gaming. The Xiaomi 17T Pro, on the other hand, is tipped to step up to the Dimensity 9500—an upgrade compared to the Dimensity 9400+ used in the Xiaomi 15T Pro. If accurate, that would hint at a noticeable jump in processing capability and overall efficiency.
Battery life may also be a big selling point. One report suggests the Xiaomi 17T could pack a 6,500mAh battery paired with 67W fast charging, a combination that can appeal to anyone tired of mid-day top-ups and long charging times.
Perhaps the most intriguing detail is timing. The Xiaomi 15T series arrived in September, but the newer Xiaomi 17T lineup is rumored to debut earlier than that. Xiaomi hasn’t officially confirmed a launch date, pricing, or final specifications yet, but the growing trail of certifications and leaks makes it clear that the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro are worth watching for anyone planning their next phone upgrade.
