Xbox’s Dedicated Microsoft Flight Simulator Controller Takes Off in the US

Honeycomb Echo Aviation Controller XPC Purchase Invites Return for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Honeycomb is once again sending purchase invitations for its Echo Aviation Controller XPC, giving US reservation holders another chance to buy the flight sim accessory ahead of its wider availability. The controller is priced at $179.99 and is now being promoted as “ready to fly” with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The latest purchase emails appear to have gone out to people already on Honeycomb’s reservation list. One reservation holder received an updated invite that kept a unit reserved until November 6 at 4:37 PM UTC, suggesting buyers are being given a 48-hour window to complete payment. The call-to-action in the email now says “Complete your purchase,” which indicates Honeycomb is moving forward with sales after temporarily pulling earlier purchase links.

The checkout page also gives a clearer idea of delivery timing. Standard shipping is listed at 3 to 4 business days, with no mention of waiting until November 20. That could mean paid orders are being prepared to ship soon, although Honeycomb has not officially confirmed immediate dispatch. The company’s US product page still points visitors toward reserving the controller ahead of November 20, so the rollout appears to be happening in stages.

For now, availability seems limited to the United States. Reservations still require a US address, and there is no indication yet of when customers in other regions will be able to order the Echo Aviation Controller XPC.

The main selling point is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 compatibility. Honeycomb says the Echo Aviation Controller XPC is ready for use in the sim, but there is an important detail for buyers to keep in mind. Some aircraft may still require users to manually assign a few controls. Honeycomb also says additional controller profiles are expected to arrive in the in-game Marketplace over the coming weeks.

That means the controller should work with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 now, but the plug-and-play experience may not be complete for every aircraft at launch. Early buyers may still need to make small adjustments before everything feels fully dialed in.

The Echo Aviation Controller XPC is aimed at flight sim fans who want a more immersive cockpit-style experience without building a full simulator setup. With a $179.99 price tag, official Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 support, and new purchase invites now going out, the controller could become an appealing option for players looking to upgrade their setup during the busy holiday season.

Still, anyone ordering early should understand that software profiles are still being rolled out. The hardware appears ready, but the smoothest experience may arrive gradually as Honeycomb adds more profiles for supported aircraft.
