Wuthering Waves Version 3.4 Brings Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Crossover, Free Rebecca Reward, and Adam Smasher Boss Fight
Kuro Games has officially unveiled the final cinematic trailer for Wuthering Waves Version 3.4, titled “The Dream Not Dreamed,” during Summer Game Fest 2026. The update launches on June 8 and brings one of the game’s biggest collaborations yet: a crossover with the hit anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
This new Wuthering Waves update blends the stylish, neon-soaked atmosphere of Night City with the game’s post-apocalyptic open-world RPG setting. For fans of fast-paced combat, anime-inspired storytelling, and limited-time crossover events, Version 3.4 looks set to be one of the most exciting patches of the year.
The main highlight of the Wuthering Waves 3.4 update is the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners event zone, Somnoire: Night City. This limited-time area is described as an alternate reality built from Lucy’s memories, creating a distorted cybernetic dreamscape filled with danger, mystery, and familiar visual themes from the anime.
Players will experience the crossover through the main event quest, “At Dream’s Edge.” During the event, Rovers will battle data-corrupted Nightmare enemies across Somnoire: Night City before facing the ultimate challenge: a tactical boss fight against Nightmare: Adam Smasher.
Adam Smasher’s arrival is expected to be a major draw for both Wuthering Waves players and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans. Known as one of the most feared figures in the Cyberpunk universe, his appearance as a boss encounter adds a darker and more intense edge to the collaboration.
Version 3.4 also introduces two new 5-star crossover Resonators, each arriving with their own limited-edition companion weapon.
Lucy joins Wuthering Waves as a 5-star Spectro Hybrid DPS character. She fights at mid-range and uses her signature monowires through the Spectral Trigger weapon, giving her a combat style that should feel sleek, fast, and highly technical.
Rebecca also enters the roster as a 5-star Havoc-element dual-pistol attacker. Armed with Skull Thrasher, she is built around quick, aggressive gunplay that reflects her explosive personality from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
One of the biggest surprises is that Rebecca will be available for free. Players can claim her by participating in the Phantom Rapid Unit limited-time login event. This makes the crossover especially appealing for free-to-play players who want to add a powerful new character to their team without spending premium currency.
Beyond the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration, Wuthering Waves Version 3.4 includes several quality-of-life improvements designed to make daily progression smoother.
A new Weekly Activity tab is being added to help players manage routine tasks more efficiently. This should make it easier to track important objectives, rewards, and weekly goals without digging through multiple menus.
The update also introduces an automated Resonator Ascension Planner inside the Guidebook. This feature is designed to help players plan character progression more effectively by organizing upgrade requirements and long-term development goals. For players managing multiple Resonators, this could become one of the most useful tools in the game.
Although the Summer Game Fest trailer focused mainly on the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover, Kuro Games also teased what is coming next. The closing moments offered a brief look at Version 3.5, which will introduce the Mengzhou and Wuling region update later this summer during Phase 2.
That future expansion will also bring a new 5-star character named Lucilla, giving players another major update to look forward to once the Version 3.4 crossover event wraps up.
Wuthering Waves Version 3.4 launches on June 8 for iOS, Android, PC, and PlayStation consoles. The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners banners and related event content will run until July 9, giving players a limited window to explore Somnoire: Night City, unlock Rebecca, pull for crossover characters, and take on Nightmare: Adam Smasher.
With a major anime crossover, free character rewards, new weapons, a limited-time event zone, and important system upgrades, Wuthering Waves 3.4 is shaping up to be a must-play update for both longtime Rovers and newcomers jumping in for the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration.
