Everstone Studio and NetEase Games are off to a strong start with Where Winds Meet. The free-to-play open-world Wuxia adventure launched on PC and PS5 just over two weeks ago, and the developers say it has already surpassed 9 million downloads across those platforms.
Now the game is set to reach an even wider audience. Where Winds Meet is scheduled to launch on iOS and Android on December 12, 2025, bringing its martial arts-inspired open world to mobile players next week.
To mark the upcoming release, the teams also shared a new mobile launch trailer highlighting cinematic, high-end visuals. As with most mobile game trailers, real-world performance will vary depending on the device you’re playing on, but the presentation aims to show the scale and style the mobile version is targeting.
In a statement, lead producer Beralt Lyu thanked players for the early support and feedback, saying the team is motivated to keep improving the experience and deliver stronger content updates moving forward. With the mobile release approaching, the developers are expecting a new wave of players to join the community.
For those planning to play on phone or tablet, pre-registration is available through the game’s official website. Everstone Studio also says the mobile edition will include a user interface designed specifically for mobile screens, along with full cross-platform support and cross-play, so players can keep progressing and team up across devices.
Critical impressions have also been positive so far. One review scored Where Winds Meet an 8.5/10, praising it as a standout open-world experience with a compelling story, rewarding side activities, solid combat and character progression, strong multiplayer options, and one of the most vibrant cities in the genre. The same review noted that some mechanics show the limits of a free-to-play model, but overall the game offers a lot of content even in its launch state.
With millions of downloads already and a mobile launch around the corner, Where Winds Meet is positioning itself as one of the more ambitious free-to-play open-world action RPGs to watch in 2025.
