Warframe is officially available worldwide on Android as of February 19, 2026, giving mobile players a brand-new way to jump into one of gaming’s most popular sci-fi action RPG looter-shooters. The Android launch was originally set for February 18 following an earlier release in Canada, but a last-minute delay pushed the rollout back by just one day.
With this release, Digital Extremes takes another big step toward making Warframe playable just about everywhere. The game is now accessible across nearly the full range of major platforms, with one notable addition still on the horizon: a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version is planned for “soon.” Warframe is already playable on the current Nintendo Switch, but the Switch 2 edition hasn’t arrived yet, making it the final major platform gap for the game’s modern lineup.
Digital Extremes president Sheldon Carter described the Android launch as part of a long-term push for greater accessibility. He also emphasized that 2026 is shaping up to be a major year for both players and the development team, as Warframe continues expanding its cross-play footprint. Carter also highlighted the game’s reputation for fostering a friendly, welcoming community and compared Warframe’s variety of content to an “amusement park” with something for every kind of player to explore.
Android players who meet the system requirements can start playing immediately. Warframe for Android requires a device running 64-bit Android on an ARM64 processor, Android 12.0 or higher, and at least 4GB of RAM.
There’s also a limited-time bonus for early adopters. Anyone who downloads Warframe on Android before March 4, 2026, will receive the Cumulus Collection, which includes cosmetic items for weapons and armor along with resource boosters to help kickstart progression.
With the worldwide Android launch now live and the Nintendo Switch 2 version still on the way, Warframe’s platform expansion continues to build momentum in 2026—making it easier than ever for new and returning Tenno to join the fight.
