Warframe Lands on Android in Canada Ahead of Its Worldwide Mobile Launch Next Week

Warframe, the long-running free-to-play action RPG from Canadian studio Digital Extremes, is officially expanding its platform lineup with a long-awaited Android release. The mobile version launches today, but there’s a catch: it’s available exclusively in Canada for the first week. Players worldwide will be able to download Warframe on Android starting February 18, 2026.

This Canada-first rollout is a notable nod to the game’s roots and its home audience. As one of Canada’s most successful and still-thriving live-service games, Warframe is using this short exclusivity window to let Canadian players be the first to jump in, test the experience, and enjoy the newest way to play before the global Android launch arrives on the Google Play Store.

Android players won’t be stepping into a separate ecosystem, either. Warframe on Android supports full crossplay, putting mobile users in the same universe as players on iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and even Nintendo Switch 2 once that version becomes available. There’s also full cross-platform save support, meaning your progress carries over seamlessly—start a mission on console or PC-like platforms, then continue on Android right where you left off.

Before downloading, players should check whether their device meets the requirements. Warframe for Android needs a 64-bit device running Android 12.0 or newer on an ARM64 processor, along with at least 4GB of RAM.

Players who jump in early on Android can also claim limited-time perks. If you sign in on Android before March 4, 2026, you’ll receive the Cumulus Collection, an Android-exclusive reward bundle that includes a special weapon, armor cosmetics, and resource boosters designed to help you get rolling faster on mobile.

The Android launch comes on the heels of another big milestone for the game. In December, Digital Extremes released a major expansion called The Old Peace, adding a new narrative chapter to Warframe’s ongoing storyline and giving returning players even more reasons to dive back into the Origin System.

With crossplay, cross-save, and a rewards bundle for early adopters, Warframe’s Android debut is shaping up to be one of the most significant mobile releases for action RPG fans in 2026—especially for Canadian players who get first access.
