Vivo X300 Unveiled: Official Specs Signal a Massive Upgrade Over the X200 Pro Mini

Vivo’s next flagship is gearing up to be a serious upgrade for mobile photography fans. After last year’s trio of X200 models, the brand is simplifying its lineup: there won’t be a Pro Mini this time. Instead, the standard Vivo X300 steps into that slot, with an X300 Pro also on the way.

Company executive Huang Tao has already outlined what to expect from the X300, and it’s a clear leap over the X200 Pro Mini. The headline change is the camera system. The Vivo X300 is set to feature a 200MP primary sensor paired with a Zeiss APO telephoto lens, plus a 50MP selfie camera. That’s a major bump from the X200 Pro Mini’s 50MP main and 32MP front camera. For creators, the X300 adds 10-bit Log video recording, giving more flexibility in color grading and post-production.

Video performance is getting a substantial boost too. Vivo says the X300 delivers better stabilization and steadier video capture, and it’s capable of 4K at 120fps—double the maximum frame rate of its predecessor’s 4K 60fps recording. Powering the imaging pipeline is Vivo’s newer in-house V3+ chip, replacing the V2 used in the previous generation, which should help with faster processing and advanced computational photography.

Under the hood, the X300 is confirmed to use the latest Dimensity 9500 chipset. According to MediaTek, it brings up to 32% faster single-core performance and around 17% higher multi-core performance compared to the chip in the X200 Pro Mini. That translates to snappier everyday use, smoother multitasking, and more headroom for demanding camera features.

Design refinements round out the appeal. The Vivo X300 trims the body to 7.95 mm thick, down from 8.15 mm, while keeping the compact-friendly 6.31-inch display size. The screen itself gets an upgrade with ultra-thin 1.05 mm symmetrical bezels for a cleaner look, a minimum brightness of just 1 nit for comfortable use in dark environments, and both PWM and DC dimming to reduce eye strain.

In short, the Vivo X300 looks set to deliver significant upgrades in camera quality, video capabilities, and overall performance, all wrapped in a slimmer design. With the X300 Pro also confirmed, the upcoming lineup should offer strong options for users who prioritize imaging, power efficiency, and a premium compact form factor.
