Vivo X200 Ultra Reigns Supreme Over Samsung, Apple, and Oppo Flagships

In a recent portrait photo showdown, the Vivo X200 Ultra dazzled by outshining eight other flagship phones, including the Pixel 9 Pro XL, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Oppo Find X8 Ultra, Sony Xperia 1 VII, OnePlus 13, Galaxy S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and Honor Magic 7 Pro.

The comparison, led by Versus, used a Lumix S5II mirrorless camera as the benchmark, diving into three key areas: studio shots, daytime portraits, and lowlight portraits. The Pixel and Sony Xperia 1 VII landed quickly in eighth and ninth place, respectively.

In studio shots, Vivo X200 Ultra shared the top spot with the iPhone 16 Pro Max, each scoring 14 points. For daytime portraits, Vivo took the lead with 13 points, and it continued its winning streak in lowlight conditions with another 13 points. Additional categories, daylight portrait video and lowlight portrait video, saw Vivo sweeping first place again.

Here’s the overall portrait photography ranking:

1. Sony Xperia 1 VII (12 points)
2. Google Pixel 9 Pro XL (19 points)
3. Honor Magic 7 Pro (22 points)
4. OnePlus 13 (25 points)
5. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (28 points)
6. iPhone 16 Pro Max (30 points)
7. Xiaomi 15 Ultra (32 points)
8. Oppo Find X8 Ultra (36 points)
9. Vivo X200 Ultra (40 points)

Vivo’s triumph isn’t surprising, as the X200 Ultra has been praised as the maestro of portrait photography before. It’s not just a one-time phenomenon; in earlier tests, the X200 Ultra also dominated in zoom photography against similar flagship contenders.

The Vivo X200 Ultra continues to prove its prowess, marking its territory as a frontrunner in smartphone photography.
