Vivo S2 Arrives With a Massive 7,050mAh Battery and Dimensity Power
Vivo is expanding its mid-range smartphone lineup with the new Vivo S2, a device that stands out mainly for its large battery, modern chipset, and practical everyday features. Designed for users who want long battery life without stepping into flagship pricing, the Vivo S2 brings a strong combination of endurance and performance.
The biggest attraction is its 7,050mAh battery, which gives the phone a clear advantage for people who stream, browse, game, or work on their device throughout the day. With such a large capacity, the Vivo S2 is built to last longer between charges than many typical mid-range smartphones. When it does need power, the phone supports USB-C charging at up to 44W, helping reduce downtime.
Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor. This chipset includes four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores for demanding tasks and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores for lighter everyday use. The setup should offer a balanced experience for multitasking, social media, video playback, and casual gaming while keeping power consumption under control.
The Vivo S2 also includes dual-SIM support, making it useful for users who manage personal and work numbers on the same device. GPS is included for navigation and location-based services. However, one notable omission is NFC, meaning the phone does not support contactless mobile payments.
The Vivo S2 will launch first in India. The base version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at ₹39,999, which is around $419. A higher-end version with 256GB of storage will cost ₹44,999, or about $472.
For now, Vivo has not confirmed when the S2 will be released in other global markets or what its international pricing will be. Still, with its huge battery, capable Dimensity chipset, and mid-range positioning, the Vivo S2 could appeal to buyers looking for a long-lasting smartphone with dependable everyday performance.
