Vivo has expanded its lineup of tablets with a new offering from its iQOO sub-brand – the Pad Air. Despite being released almost a year after the iQOO Pad, the new Pad Air aims to provide a more budget-friendly option while still delivering high-end features.
The iQOO Pad Air is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is a step down from the Pad’s MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. Although it may not be the latest processor on the market, the Snapdragon 870 still packs a punch and offers solid performance that exceeds some of the newer models like the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
The device is supported by at least 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, along with an ample 8,500 mAh battery that boasts 44W wired charging. This ensures users will have enough power and efficiency to handle daily tasks without frequent recharges.
On the display front, the iQOO Pad Air features an 11.5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2.8K and a high refresh rate of 144 Hz, promising smooth and vibrant visuals. Furthermore, the display can reach 500 nits peak brightness, making it comfortable to use even in well-lit conditions.
For those who love consuming media on their tablets, the iQOO Pad Air comes equipped with quad speakers capable of delivering a total of 6W peak output. Users can also enhance their experience with the addition of optional official stylus and keyboard accessories, making it versatile for different uses.
The tablet has been launched with a starting price of CNY 1,749, which is approximately $243, featuring 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Those requiring more power and space can opt for the higher-end variant with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, priced at CNY 2,599 or around $361.
While currently exclusive to the Chinese market, international customers may have to wait for official announcements regarding the global availability of this promising budget-friendly tablet with premium capabilities.
For consumers interested in exploring other tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is available for purchase on Amazon, offering an alternative with its own set of features and specifications tailored to meet varying user needs.
