iQOO Pad Ultra Teased With Built-In Cooling Fan and Gaming Accessories
iQOO is preparing to introduce a new compact tablet built with mobile gamers in mind. The company has shared fresh teaser details for the upcoming iQOO Pad Ultra, revealing that the device will feature an integrated cooling fan, a rare addition for a tablet and a clear sign that performance and sustained gaming power are key priorities.
According to the latest teaser, the iQOO Pad Ultra will include a tiny built-in fan measuring 30 x 30 x 3.5 mm. Despite its small size, the cooling system is designed to help control heat during demanding gaming sessions. iQOO says the fan offers a heat-dissipation area of 1,661 mm², can spin at up to 14,500 rpm, and is capable of producing a maximum airflow of 0.94 CFM.
For a compact gaming tablet, that could make a noticeable difference. High-performance tablets often struggle with heat when running graphically intense games for long periods, and thermal throttling can reduce frame rates and responsiveness. By adding active cooling, iQOO appears to be positioning the Pad Ultra as a device aimed at users who want stronger sustained performance in a portable form factor.
The company also confirmed support for two gaming-focused accessories. The first is a stretchable game controller designed to attach around the tablet. It features its own USB-C port, micro-switches, and a Hall-effect joystick, which should help improve precision and durability compared with standard analog sticks.
The second accessory is a rear grip that attaches to the back of the tablet. Its purpose is simple but important: to make the device easier and more comfortable to hold during longer gaming sessions. Together, these accessories suggest iQOO wants the Pad Ultra to feel closer to a handheld gaming console while still offering the larger display and flexibility of a tablet.
The iQOO Pad Ultra is expected to launch in China at the end of September alongside the iQOO 16 smartphone. For now, the confirmed launch window only applies to the Chinese market. iQOO has not yet announced whether the tablet will be released globally.
Earlier leaks have suggested that the iQOO Pad Ultra may feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with slim bezels and a centered punch-hole front camera. If accurate, this would make it significantly smaller than the iQOO Pad 6 Pro, which comes with a much larger 13.2-inch screen. That smaller size could make the Pad Ultra more appealing to gamers who prefer a lightweight, handheld-friendly tablet.
Rumors also point to a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor and a battery in the 9,000 mAh range. Possible color options reportedly include Ender Black and Star Armor Silver. However, iQOO has not officially confirmed these specifications or color variants, so they should be treated as unverified for now.
With active cooling, dedicated gaming accessories, and a compact OLED design, the iQOO Pad Ultra could become one of the more interesting gaming tablets of the year. More official details should arrive as the launch approaches.
