New DDR5 memory and RGB filler kits are here, giving AMD AM5 builders a clever way to fully populate their DIMM slots without paying for a full set of working RAM upfront.
V-Color has introduced a new “1+1” value pack designed specifically for the AM5 platform. Each package includes one real DDR5 memory module paired with one non-functional filler DIMM, letting users occupy two slots at once for a cleaner, fully-built look inside a windowed gaming PC case. Buyers can choose between 16 GB or 24 GB capacities for the actual memory stick, making it easier to pick a starting point that fits both performance needs and budget.
The main appeal is flexibility. Instead of having to purchase a two-stick kit immediately, you can start with one working module and still keep your motherboard looking visually balanced thanks to the matching RGB filler. Later, when it’s time to upgrade, you can add more real modules to move toward a 2+2 configuration and maintain that complete four-DIMM RGB presentation many enthusiasts want—without replacing everything you already bought.
According to V-Color, the idea behind this DDR5 1+1 approach is to help gamers begin an AMD AM5 DDR5 build in a more accessible way, keeping the system’s aesthetics intact while leaving room for future upgrades. It’s also positioned as a practical response to recent DRAM market conditions, where DDR5 pricing and availability can make larger kits harder to justify for some builders. While filler RAM isn’t a new concept, pairing it directly with a single working module in a ready-to-go bundle targets users who want the look of a fully populated motherboard now, with a straightforward expansion path later.
These kits are set to arrive under the Manta DDR5 XSky and Manta DDR5 XFinity product lines. The working DIMM options include 16 GB and 24 GB per stick, paired with a matching filler module intended purely for appearance and slot coverage.
V-Color says the 1+1 DDR5 memory plus RGB filler kits are expected to launch soon through official sales channels and should be available through major retailers, including Newegg.
