MSI is leveling up its AM5 lineup with a fresh wave of X870E motherboards, headlined by a limited-run flagship built to celebrate a decade of Godlike boards. Expect upgraded power delivery, smarter overclocking tools, faster connectivity, and a roomier BIOS across the board, all tuned for next‑gen Ryzen performance.
The showpiece is the MEG X870E GODLIKE X Edition, a premium, black-and-gold tribute limited to just 1,000 units. Each board carries a unique gold nameplate and ships with a custom collector’s stand, the full bundle from the standard X870E GODLIKE, and a black Lucky Stuff figure. It’s not just about looks either: this board has already powered an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X to 7.304 GHz in an overclocking feat achieved by Taiwanese overclocker TSAIK.
Alongside the flagship, MSI is rolling out a range of AM5 X870E MAX motherboards that sharpen performance, connectivity, and DIY friendliness. The entire MAX series adds MSI’s OC Engine for independent BCLK control, enabling finer tuning and the potential for up to a 15% gaming uplift on Ryzen CPUs. There’s also an onboard BCLK jumper for enthusiasts who want even more granular control.
Another key upgrade is the jump to a 64 MB BIOS ROM (up from 32 MB), improving compatibility with current and future Ryzen processors. PCIe slots have been optimized to deliver full x16 bandwidth for graphics and full x4 for M.2 storage. Across the lineup you’ll find upgraded VRMs with beefier heatsinks—finned designs on top-tier models—and modern connectivity including Wi‑Fi 7 and USB 40 Gbps. GODLIKE and ACE MAX models step up to 10G LAN, while all MAX series boards include at least 5G LAN.

What this means for builders is straightforward: stronger VRMs and cooling for modern Ryzen chips, faster wired and wireless networking, top-tier storage and GPU bandwidth with Gen5 support, and more forgiving firmware capacity for broader CPU support down the line. Whether you’re shooting for record overclocks or a clean, high‑end daily driver, the X870E MAX family is built to push AM5 systems further.
MSI will share pricing and availability soon.
