Timex Addison Debuts in the UK and Europe With Compact Rectangular Cases and Roman Numeral Dials
Timex has introduced two new Addison watches for the UK and European markets, bringing a compact dress-watch look with rectangular cases, classic Roman numerals, and leather straps. The new models are aimed at buyers who want an affordable, lightweight watch with vintage-inspired styling and a smaller fit on the wrist.
The two new references are the Timex Addison TW2Y90600 and TW2Y90700. The TW2Y90600 comes with a silver-tone case, a silver dial, and a black leather strap. The TW2Y90700 offers a warmer look with a gold-tone case, champagne dial, and brown leather strap. Pricing is set at £95 and £105 in the UK, while European prices are €109 and €119.
Both watches use a 23 mm rectangular case, making them notably small by modern watch standards. The case measures 8 mm thick, with a 31.5 mm lug-to-lug length and 12 mm lug width. At only 24 grams, the Addison is extremely light, which should make it comfortable for daily wear, especially for those who prefer compact watches over larger wristwear.
Timex lists the case material as low-lead brass rather than stainless steel. The cases are polished and plated to achieve their silver-tone or gold-tone finishes. Brass is a common material in affordable watches, though it is worth noting that it can age differently from steel over time, particularly with long-term skin contact and regular wear.
The dial design is one of the main attractions of the new Addison models. Despite the small case size, Timex has given the watch a clean and traditional layout with full Roman numerals around the dial. A railroad-style minute track runs around the outer edge, while the textured dial surface adds visual depth and helps the watch catch light from different angles.
A mineral crystal protects the dial. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters, which is suitable for light splashes, rain, and handwashing, but not for swimming or showering.
Inside, the Timex Addison is powered by a quartz movement using an SR626SW battery. This should appeal to buyers who want a low-maintenance everyday watch without the winding or servicing requirements of a mechanical movement.
Both models are fitted with leather straps that Timex describes as sustainable. Each strap is paired with a simple buckle, keeping the overall design understated and dressy.
For now, these two leather-strap Addison models appear to be available only in the UK and Europe. In the United States, the Addison lineup currently includes bracelet versions priced between $139 and $159, but these new leather references have not yet appeared in the US store. Based on UK and European pricing before taxes, the silver-tone model would land around $105, while the gold-tone version would be close to $115 if introduced in the US.
With its slim rectangular profile, Roman numeral dial, lightweight construction, and accessible pricing, the new Timex Addison collection could appeal to anyone looking for an affordable dress watch with a vintage-inspired character. It is especially likely to attract buyers who prefer smaller watches and want something elegant without spending heavily.
