Morefine has unveiled a new external GPU aimed at people who want desktop-class graphics power in a travel-friendly setup. Called the Morefine G2, this compact eGPU packs a desktop Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, positioning it as a serious option for gaming, creators, and anyone looking to boost graphics performance on a laptop or mini PC.
While Morefine hasn’t published benchmark results yet, the connection options reveal what kind of real-world performance you can expect. The highlight is an OCuLink 4.0 x4 port, which is widely considered one of the best ways to connect an external GPU thanks to its lower overhead compared to typical Thunderbolt-based eGPU setups. Any external GPU connection can introduce some performance loss versus running the same GPU inside a desktop PC, but OCuLink usually keeps that drop relatively modest when paired with a capable host system.
If your device doesn’t include OCuLink, the Morefine G2 also supports Thunderbolt 5. It’s designed to work with the USB4 v2 interface as well, giving it broader compatibility across modern laptops and compact PCs. That said, for gaming performance, OCuLink is still expected to deliver better results than Thunderbolt 5 due to bandwidth and latency advantages.
The port selection goes beyond just the host connection. In addition to the upstream Thunderbolt 5 port, the G2 includes a Thunderbolt 5 downstream port that can handle 4K output at up to 144Hz, making it appealing for high-refresh esports monitors and smooth 4K desktop use. You also get three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for peripherals, plus HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 for flexible monitor hookups.
Power delivery is another practical touch. Morefine says the upstream Thunderbolt 5 connection can supply up to 100W of USB Power Delivery, meaning the eGPU can charge and power a connected laptop while also carrying graphics data—helpful for reducing cable clutter on a desk setup.
Cooling is handled by a built-in fan with three selectable modes, allowing users to choose between higher performance cooling and quieter operation depending on workload and noise sensitivity.
One of the biggest selling points is the size. Morefine describes the G2 as relatively compact at 140 x 100 x 54mm, and that smaller footprint is made possible largely by using an external power supply rather than integrating the PSU into the chassis. The unit is also marketed as lightweight, with a claimed weight of around 700 grams, which could make it easier to move between home and office setups or pack alongside a mini PC.
Pricing and availability are clearly targeted at early adopters. The Morefine G2 is currently available for pre-order at $1,099, with early shipments expected to begin on May 20, 2026.
For anyone searching for a compact RTX 5060 Ti eGPU with 16GB VRAM, especially those with OCuLink support on their laptop or mini PC, the Morefine G2 is shaping up to be one of the more interesting external GPU launches to watch in 2026.
