TerraMow X AWD Robot Mower Hits Kickstarter With 25% Launch Savings

TerraMow X AWD Robot Mower Debuts for Extra-Large Lawns With AI Vision and All-Wheel Drive

The TerraMow X AWD is built for homeowners and property managers who need a robotic lawnmower capable of handling truly large outdoor spaces. Designed for lawns of up to 6,000 square meters as standard, this heavy-duty robot mower can reportedly cover as much as 11,000 square meters when equipped with additional batteries.

One of its biggest selling points is speed. According to the manufacturer, the TerraMow X AWD can mow up to 1,200 square meters per hour. That performance is helped by a clever mowing method that reduces wasted movement. Instead of making slow, wide turns at the end of each mowing line, the mower reverses in a slightly offset path and continues cutting. This helps save time while also reducing unnecessary stress on the grass.

To make this possible, the mower uses an AI Vision System with six cameras placed at the front and rear. This setup allows the TerraMow X AWD to better understand its surroundings, navigate more efficiently, and maintain accurate mowing patterns across large and complex lawns.

The TerraMow X AWD also comes with TerraVision 2.0 and nRTK positioning technology, giving it advanced navigation capabilities without relying only on traditional boundary wires. This can make installation and operation more convenient, especially for larger gardens, estates, parks, and commercial green spaces.

As its name suggests, the mower features all-wheel drive. The fully suspended AWD system is designed to tackle challenging ground conditions, including slopes of up to 90 percent, or around 42 degrees. It can also handle uneven terrain with height differences of up to 7 cm, making it suitable for lawns that are far from perfectly flat.

Cutting performance is another strong point. The TerraMow X AWD uses three blade discs and offers a wide 50.2 cm cutting width, allowing it to cover more ground with each pass. The cutting height can be adjusted from 25 mm to 100 mm, giving users flexibility whether they prefer a short, tidy lawn or a longer, more natural finish.

At around 40 kg, this is clearly not a small garden gadget. It is an XXL robotic lawnmower aimed at demanding users who want automation for large areas and difficult terrain. There is also a side connection point that can be used for accessories such as a side trimmer, potentially expanding its usefulness beyond standard mowing.

With its combination of AI-powered vision, all-wheel drive, wide cutting coverage, and high hourly mowing capacity, the TerraMow X AWD positions itself as a powerful robotic mower for large lawns and challenging landscapes. For users looking to reduce manual lawn maintenance on expansive properties, it could be one of the more interesting robot mower options to watch.
