TDM Neo Hybrid Headphones Launch With Built-In Bluetooth Speaker Mode and 200-Hour Battery Life
TDM Neo, a pair of hybrid headphones that can transform into portable Bluetooth speakers, is now officially available after completing a successful crowdfunding campaign. Designed for users who want one audio device for private listening and shared playback, the Neo stands out with a twist-based mechanism that changes how the headphones function.
At first glance, the TDM Neo looks like a stylish pair of over-ear wireless headphones. But with a simple twist, the device switches into speaker mode, allowing users to play music out loud without needing a separate Bluetooth speaker. The same twist mechanism can also be used to manage playback, while four physical buttons provide additional control for volume, calls, music, and other functions.
The Neo uses a dual-driver setup built for two different listening experiences. In headphone mode, two inward-facing 40 mm drivers are tuned for clarity and detail, giving users a more personal and focused sound profile. In speaker mode, two outward-facing 40 mm drivers take over, each delivering five watts of output for louder room-filling audio.
TDM says each stereo channel is powered by its own amplifier, which is intended to improve separation and reduce distortion. This setup should help the headphones deliver cleaner audio whether they are being used privately or as a speaker for a small group.
Users who like to customize their sound can adjust the audio through the companion app. The app includes an equalizer for sound tuning, a lost-device finder, and a Game mode designed to reduce latency for a more responsive experience while gaming or watching videos.
The TDM Neo supports Bluetooth 6.0 and can connect to more than one audio source at the same time. It works with SBC and AAC codecs, covering common wireless audio needs across smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other compatible devices. For users who prefer a wired connection, the headphones also include a 3.5 mm audio input.
Voice calls and assistant commands are handled through multiple built-in microphones with environmental noise canceling. This helps reduce background noise during calls and improves voice pickup when using Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri.
Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the TDM Neo. The company rates the headphones for up to 200 hours of use in headphone mode, making them a strong option for travelers, commuters, and anyone who dislikes frequent charging. In speaker mode, battery life is rated at up to 16 hours.
Fast charging is also supported. A five-minute charge can provide up to eight hours of listening time, while a full charge takes around three hours. Another notable feature is the replaceable battery design, which could help extend the product’s lifespan compared with many sealed wireless headphones.
The TDM Neo weighs 340 g, or about 12 oz, placing it on the heavier side compared with some traditional headphones. However, the added speaker functionality, extra drivers, and large battery help explain the weight.
The headphones are available in two color options: Onyx Black and Cool White. Pricing is set at $249.99.
With its headphone-to-speaker design, long battery life, app-based sound controls, wired audio support, and voice assistant compatibility, the TDM Neo is aimed at users who want a versatile audio device that can move easily between solo listening and shared entertainment.
