SunEnergyXT Smart Wallbox Brings Solar-Optimized EV Charging to Home Energy Systems
SunEnergyXT is expanding its home energy ecosystem with a new Smart Wallbox designed to make electric vehicle charging more efficient, flexible, and better connected to household solar power. Built to work alongside the company’s PowerBox storage system, the wallbox gives homeowners a practical way to charge their EV while making smarter use of self-generated energy.
The Smart Wallbox can be supplied by the PowerBox, which delivers an output of up to 21.6 kW. For electric vehicles, it supports three-phase charging at up to 11 kW with a maximum current of 16 amps. Charging is handled through a Type 2 cable, making it suitable for many modern electric vehicles used across Europe and other compatible markets.
A key feature of the new wallbox is its integrated RFID reader. This allows access control and user-specific authorization, which can be especially useful for households with multiple drivers or shared charging access. Instead of leaving the charger open for anyone to use, owners can manage who is allowed to start a charging session.
The Smart Wallbox is also compatible with the SunEnergyXT app, bringing charging, battery storage, and household energy consumption into one connected system. Through the app, users can coordinate EV charging with the performance of their solar setup and the available energy stored in the PowerBox.
One of the biggest advantages is the ability to plan charging schedules around solar power generation. For example, EV charging can be set to run when the home’s solar panels are producing the most electricity, helping reduce reliance on grid power and improving self-consumption.
