Longevity: Path of the Immortal Tops Steam’s New & Trending List Despite No English Support
A new free-to-play MMORPG is making waves on Steam, but there is one unusual catch: its store page is written largely in English, while the game itself does not support English at all.
Longevity: Path of the Immortal, also known as 长生仙途, officially left early access on September 4, 2026. Developed and self-published by May Game, the 3D xianxia MMORPG has quickly climbed to the top of Steam’s New & Trending chart. At the time of writing, it holds a Very Positive rating, with 88% approval from 67 user reviews.
The game is attracting attention not only because of its rapid rise, but also because of the strange contrast between its marketing and actual language support. The Steam store description promotes the game in dramatic English, describing a cultivation fantasy filled with karma, romance, bonds, sword flight, open-world exploration, and large-scale sect warfare. However, Steam’s language information clearly lists only Simplified Chinese as supported for the interface, full audio, and subtitles.
English is marked as not supported, and Steam also displays a warning that the product does not support the user’s local language.
That means players drawn in by the English store copy should be aware that the actual game experience is currently available only in Simplified Chinese. Most of the existing user reviews are also not written in English, which makes it harder for international players to judge the gameplay experience before trying it.
Another detail drawing interest is the store page’s AI content disclosure. While much of the promotional text appears in English, the AI disclosure remains in Chinese. When translated, it states that some store assets contain AI-generated elements.
The game’s system requirements are very lightweight, making it accessible for players with older or budget PCs. Longevity: Path of the Immortal requires Windows, an Intel i3 or equivalent processor, 4 GB of RAM, a graphics card with 1 GB of video memory, and 2 GB of available storage space.
The release timeline is also a bit surprising. The game entered early access on August 20, 2026, before reaching full release just 15 days later. Earlier early access notes from May Game suggested that the testing period could last anywhere from one to six months, depending on player feedback.
Players interested in trying the game should also note that Longevity: Path of the Immortal includes in-game purchases as well as chance-based in-game purchases, which typically refer to randomized loot-style mechanics.
For fans of Chinese fantasy MMORPGs, cultivation stories, martial arts worlds, and xianxia adventures, Longevity: Path of the Immortal may be worth watching. Its strong early Steam performance shows clear interest from players, especially within its supported language audience. However, anyone expecting a full English-language MMORPG should approach with caution until official English support is added.
