Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Update Adds New Peter Parker Suits, Enhanced PSSR, and Power Saver Support
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has received a fresh update on PS5 and PC, giving players more ways to customize Peter Parker while also improving the game’s technical features on PlayStation 5.
Insomniac Games has rolled out version 1.005.000 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PS5, alongside PC update version 2.727.0.0. The biggest highlight is the arrival of two new Peter Parker suits, both available immediately after installing the update.
The first new outfit is the Fresh Start suit, inspired by the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The second is a suit based on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, an upcoming game that brings a different take on Marvel’s iconic heroes.
Players do not need to complete missions, spend in-game currency, or unlock any special requirements to access the new suits. Once the latest update is installed, both outfits are ready to equip right away. This applies to both PS5 and PC players.
Beyond the new cosmetic additions, the PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 now supports Enhanced PSSR, short for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. This feature uses AI-driven upscaling to improve image quality and boost resolution, giving the game a sharper and cleaner look during gameplay. It is designed to help deliver better visuals while maintaining strong performance.
The update also adds support for Power Saver mode on PS5. This feature is aimed at reducing electricity usage by adjusting game performance. Players who want to use it will need to enable Power Saver for games in their console settings. After that, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 must be selected as one of the supported titles for the mode to take effect.
Power Saver mode is already available in select PS5 games, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 now joins that growing list. It gives players another option if they want to lower energy consumption while still enjoying the game.
