Snapdragon 8 Elite reference design Geekbench 6 benchmarks

Snapdragon 8 Elite Redefines Performance Standards with 24GB 4,800MHz LPDDR5X RAM; Outpaces Leading Android Processors by 47% in Geekbench 6

Qualcomm recently unveiled its highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and the tech world is buzzing with excitement thanks to some impressive benchmark results. Showcased through a reference design smartphone, this latest offering from Qualcomm is setting new standards in performance.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite scored exceptionally well in the latest round of Geekbench 6 tests, emerging as the supreme leader among Android flagship chipsets. Not even the freshly released Dimensity 9400 can challenge the might of Qualcomm’s powerhouse.

In multi-core performance assessments, the Snapdragon 8 Elite breaks through the 10,000-point mark, cementing its place as an unrivaled champion. The single-core and multi-core evaluations were conducted by content creator Wekihome, who used a device boasting impressive specs: 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 4,800MHz, a stunning 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display at 120Hz, a 3,900mAh battery, and a spacious 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite scored 3,230 points for single-core tasks and a staggering 10,617 points for multi-core tasks. This performance not only outshines its closest rival, the Dimensity 9400, by 14% and 17% respectively but also leaves last year’s models, including the Dimensity 9300+ and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, in the dust.

Interestingly, both the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 are built using TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm ‘N3E’ process, yet the Elite manages to pull ahead convincingly. Its edge is even more pronounced when comparing it to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, boasting a jaw-dropping 40% improvement in single-core performance and a 47% increase in multi-core tasks.

Qualcomm’s strategic decision to develop custom Oryon cores seems to be a game-changer, delivering exceptional results. However, it’s important to remember that these numbers come from a reference design. The true test will begin once commercial flagship smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite hit the market. Stay tuned as we watch this space for the real-world impact of this technological wonder.
