Sixunited is pushing the limits of how small a high-performance mini PC can be with its new Mini AI Workstation AXB88. Revealed alongside two other compact desktop systems built on the same architecture, the AXB88 stands out by shrinking the enclosure even further than its siblings, which use 2-liter and 4-liter cases.
According to the company, the Sixunited AXB88 measures 160 x 160 x 47 mm in either of the two exterior finishes shown. That footprint translates to roughly a 1.2-liter case volume, making it notably smaller than many competing small-form-factor “Strix Halo” style mini PCs currently on the market.
Despite the ultra-compact chassis, Sixunited says the AXB88 is designed to deliver serious power. The mini PC is reportedly configured to push up to a 120W TDP to its APU, backed by a 230W power supply unit. For buyers considering a tiny workstation for AI workloads, content creation, or high-end productivity tasks, that power budget suggests Sixunited is aiming for performance that goes well beyond typical low-wattage mini desktops.
Connectivity and storage options also look well-suited to power users. The AXB88 is said to include dual USB4 ports, giving it modern high-bandwidth I/O for fast peripherals, docking setups, and external storage. It also includes M.2 2280 SSD slots supporting up to PCIe 4.0 x4, which should allow for fast NVMe storage and solid upgrade potential in a compact workstation PC.
Sixunited expects to begin mass production in March. Pricing and international availability haven’t been confirmed yet, but if the company follows through on the promised specifications in such a small enclosure, the AXB88 could become an attention-grabbing option for anyone searching for a powerful mini AI workstation or a space-saving high-performance mini PC.
