Xiaomi is expanding its smart home lineup in Europe with the wider rollout of the Mijia Refrigerator Cross Door 502L. After launching in select markets like Spain in 2025 as the brand’s first fridge of this kind in the region, the model is now becoming available in more European countries, giving more households access to a large-capacity smart refrigerator with app controls and voice assistant support.
Positioned by Xiaomi as a premium, versatile appliance, the Mijia Cross Door 502L offers a generous 502 liters of total storage split into three dedicated zones. You get a 297L fridge compartment for everyday groceries, a 176L freezer for long-term storage, and a 29L iFresh zone designed for flexible cooling. This iFresh compartment can run independently from the rest of the refrigerator, with adjustable temperatures from -1 to 5°C (30 to 41°F). That range makes it practical for tasks like chilling beverages quickly or storing certain foods at an ideal temperature to help them stay fresh longer.
Freshness is also a key focus. Xiaomi includes an antibacterial silver ion module that is intended to reduce odors and support a cleaner internal environment, helping foods maintain their taste and smell for longer. For cooling performance, the refrigerator offers three modes to match different situations: auto mode for balanced day-to-day operation, super cool for faster chilling, and super freeze for quickly freezing items when you’ve just stocked up.
Smart features are another major selling point. The Mijia Refrigerator Cross Door 502L can be managed remotely through the Xiaomi Home app, letting you adjust temperatures, switch modes, and receive over-the-air updates. It also sends smart alerts if the door is left open for more than two minutes—an especially useful feature for busy kitchens where doors can be accidentally left ajar. For hands-free control, the fridge supports both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing users to change settings using voice commands.
Pricing in Europe is set at £799/€849 in markets such as the UK and Germany. Xiaomi is also offering an introductory discount in some regions, dropping the price to £699/€749 through its online stores in places like the UK and France.
