LightSolutions has launched the Hilux DS8 Tilt 360 ShellyX LED downlight in Europe, expanding the growing range of “Powered by Shelly” smart lighting. First shown at IFA 2025, the new ceiling downlight is pitched as a premium option with an elegant Scandinavian look and flexible lighting control for modern homes.
Built for direct ceiling installation, the Hilux DS8 Tilt 360 stands out with a tiltable design made possible by its aluminum housing. This lets you precisely aim the beam where you need it—ideal for highlighting artwork, brightening a kitchen workspace, or creating a focused reading corner without moving the fixture itself.
Lighting quality is another key selling point. The full spectrum LED is designed to deliver a high color rendering index for more natural-looking colors in your room. It also supports adjustable color temperature, ranging from a warm 2,200K to a crisp 6,000K. Brightness depends on the selected color temperature: at 6,000K it can reach up to 600 lumens, while at 2,200K the maximum output is 360 lumens. The 8W downlight is dimmable as well, making it easier to switch between bright task lighting and softer ambient light. LightSolutions estimates a lifespan of around 50,000 hours.
On the smart home side, the Hilux DS8 Tilt 360 ShellyX includes Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing control without a separate hub. It’s also designed to work with Shelly BLU accessories, adding convenient options like wireless buttons for quick manual control alongside app-based automation.
The LightSolutions Hilux DS8 Tilt 360 ShellyX is now available through the Shelly store in various European markets, including the UK, the Netherlands, and Spain, priced at £34.20 / €45.98. For buyers outside Europe, including the United States, there’s no confirmed release timing yet.
