Seiko’s Next-Gen Titanium GPS Solar Watch Is Almost Here

Seiko Astron GPS Solar 2025 SSJ037: a titanium GPS-synced limited edition landing worldwide this October

Seiko is preparing a global rollout for the Astron GPS Solar 2025 SSJ037, a limited edition stainless-tone timepiece inspired by the interior of a futuristic spaceship. Built for travelers and tech-forward watch fans, it blends cutting-edge GPS Solar timekeeping with a sleek, lightweight titanium build.

The SSJ037 centers on a patterned silver dial with stripes set in three directions, paired with silver luminescent indexes for legibility. A titanium case and aluminum bezel frame the display, measuring 42 mm across and 12 mm thick, with a matching metal bracelet and sapphire crystal for durability and scratch resistance.

Inside is Seiko’s Caliber 3X62 GPS Solar movement. When exposed to sunlight, the watch connects to the GPS satellite network twice per day to automatically adjust the time. Even without satellite reception, it maintains accuracy of up to ±15 seconds per month. Functions include three analog hands for hours, minutes, and seconds, a date display, and a sub-dial that doubles as a power reserve indicator and in-flight mode status.
