Seiko Unveils Limited-Edition Titanium Timepieces Featuring Striking Dials—Now Available to Buy

Seiko has officially opened retail sales in Singapore for two fresh Astron GPS Solar limited-edition watches, and they’re designed to stand out without feeling flashy. First revealed on December 15, these new releases pair lightweight titanium with richly textured blue dials inspired by a galaxy-like finish. Both models are now listed on Seiko’s Singapore site, and early availability appears limited—suggesting they may sell through quickly.

Leading the duo is the Seiko Astron SSH187J1, a dual-time chronograph built for travelers and timing enthusiasts who want high functionality in a refined sports-luxury package. It runs on Seiko’s GPS Solar calibre 5X83, enabling automatic GPS time adjustment for accurate local time updates. The feature set is packed: dual time zones, a perpetual calendar valid until February 2100, and a chronograph that measures up to 12 hours with 1/20-second precision. The case is titanium at 43.3 mm with a 13.4 mm thickness, matched with 100 meters of water resistance. A ceramic bezel and hard coating help reinforce the premium, durable feel. In Singapore, it’s priced at SG$4,033 (about $3,136), with production limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide.

For those who prefer a cleaner, more streamlined look, the Seiko Astron SSJ039J1 delivers the same space-inspired dial concept in a simpler three-hand layout. It’s powered by the GPS Solar calibre 3X62 and includes GPS-based time zone adjustment, a date display, a power reserve indicator, and a perpetual calendar system. The titanium case comes in slightly smaller and slimmer than the chronograph model at 42.0 mm wide and 12.0 mm thick, making it an appealing option for everyday wear. This model is listed at SG$3,488 (around $2,712) in Singapore and is also limited to 1,500 units globally.

Despite their different layouts and movements, the two watches share several premium details that tie the collection together. Both feature black-finished titanium bracelets, sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, and luminous hands and markers for strong legibility. The textured blue dials are the centerpiece—giving both models a cohesive identity while still letting buyers choose between chronograph versatility and minimalist elegance.

Seiko is also expected to release two additional Astron models—SBXY105 and SBXY107—soon. For now, the newly available GPS Solar limited editions are the ones attracting attention, and with product pages already indicating scarce inventory, anyone interested may want to act sooner rather than later.
