Seiko is widening access to one of its most talked-about recent releases. The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time GMT SSK049, which debuted as a U.S. Special Creation, has now appeared in official listings for the UK and Australia—marking the first confirmed international rollout for this “Silver Bullet” Cocktail Time GMT.
In the UK, the watch is listed as the SSK049J1 with a price of £520 and a June availability window. In Australia, it’s shown as the SSK049J priced at AU$925 and is currently offered as a pre-order. While neither region shows immediate stock, both listings position the SSK049 as a new addition to their local Presage lineups, a strong sign that broader availability is finally happening.
The SSK049 belongs to Seiko’s Presage Cocktail Time family, a collection known for pairing classic dress-watch styling with dial designs inspired by Tokyo’s Ginza cocktail scene. The theme here is the Silver Bullet cocktail—a mix of gin, kümmel, and lemon juice—and Seiko threads that inspiration into the details rather than going over the top. The deep blue GMT hand is shaped like the stem of a cocktail glass, while the gold-tone seconds hand is designed to echo a swizzle stick used for stirring drinks.
On the wrist, the dial is the star. It features a silver radial pressed pattern with a glossy, light-catching finish, complemented by a 24-hour scale with blue cursive-style Arabic numerals that gives the watch a distinctive look among entry-level GMT options.
Inside is Seiko’s Caliber 4R34 automatic GMT movement. It runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour, uses 24 jewels, and offers roughly a 41-hour power reserve—an accessible automatic GMT setup that fits the watch’s everyday-wear positioning.
The stainless steel case measures 40.5 mm across, 12.82 mm thick, and 47.5 mm lug-to-lug. It’s topped with a box-shaped Hardlex crystal and finished with a see-through screw-down caseback. Water resistance is rated to 5 bar, suitable for daily use and light water exposure.
