Seiko Unveils Four New Presage Watches, Led by a Limited-Edition Highlight

Seiko Presage Classic Series expands with four silk-inspired watches for July 2026

Seiko is adding four elegant new models to its Presage Classic Series, bringing a refined Japanese textile theme to one of the brand’s most popular mechanical watch collections. Scheduled for release in July 2026, the new Seiko Presage HCC001J, HCC002J, HCC003J, and HCC008 will be sold exclusively through Seiko Global Brand Core Shops.

The latest Presage Classic Series watches are inspired by “the art of silk,” with each dial drawing from the soft textures, traditional colors, and delicate beauty associated with Japanese silk culture. The result is a collection that blends classic watchmaking with subtle design details rooted in Japanese craftsmanship.

The Seiko Presage HCC001J, named “Shironeri,” features a clean white dial inspired by refined silk threads. Its understated look gives the watch a timeless and versatile character, making it suitable for both formal and everyday wear.

The HCC002J introduces a pale bamboo green dial, taking inspiration from traditional kimono dye colors. This soft green tone gives the model a calm, natural feel while still keeping the elegant identity of the Presage Classic Series intact.

For those who prefer a warmer and more delicate color, the HCC003J comes with a soft pink dial inspired by cherry blossoms. The shade adds a graceful seasonal touch, connecting the watch to one of Japan’s most recognizable natural symbols.

The standout model in the new lineup is the Seiko Presage HCC008, which will be sold in Japan as the HCC010J. This limited-edition version pairs a white dial with a rose gold-tone case, markers, and hands, creating a more luxurious appearance. Seiko will produce only 2,000 pieces worldwide, with 500 units reserved for the Japanese market.

All four models share the same balanced case size, measuring 38.0 mm in diameter, 12.9 mm in thickness, and 43.8 mm from lug to lug. The dimensions make these watches compact enough for a wide range of wrist sizes while still offering a strong wrist presence. Each case is made from stainless steel and treated with Seiko’s Diashield coating for added durability and improved resistance to scratches.

Inside the new Presage Classic Series models is Seiko’s 6R51 automatic movement. This caliber supports manual winding and offers a practical 72-hour power reserve, meaning the watch can run for up to three days when fully wound. The movement has 24 jewels and is rated for accuracy of +25 to -15 seconds per day.

Seiko has also equipped the watches with a dual-curved sapphire crystal, complete with an inner anti-reflective coating for improved legibility. A see-through screw case back allows owners to view the movement, adding to the appeal for mechanical watch enthusiasts. Water resistance is rated at 10 bar, making the watches suitable for daily wear and light water exposure.

The HCC001J and HCC002J come fitted with stainless steel bracelets and push-button double-fold clasps. Both models weigh 135 grams, giving them a solid and premium feel on the wrist. The HCC003J is paired with a dark brown leather strap and a push-button three-fold clasp, reducing the weight to 78 grams and giving it a dressier personality.

Pricing in Japan is set at ¥132,000 for the Seiko Presage HCC001J and HCC002J, while the HCC003J is priced at ¥129,800. Pricing for the limited-edition HCC008 has not yet been announced.

With their silk-inspired dials, traditional Japanese design cues, automatic movements, and refined proportions, these new Seiko Presage Classic Series watches are likely to appeal to collectors and everyday watch fans alike. The limited-edition HCC008, in particular, may attract strong attention thanks to its rose gold-tone styling and restricted global production.
