Seiko Unveils Affordable Compact Dress Watches With Retro Charm and Quartz Precision
Seiko has expanded its Seiko Selection range with two new compact dress watches designed for fans of classic styling, reliable quartz accuracy, and everyday wearability. The new Seiko HFH006P and Seiko HFH007P bring a vintage-inspired look in a small stainless steel case, making them appealing options for anyone searching for an affordable dress watch with understated elegance.
Both watches share nearly identical specifications. Each model features a 31 mm stainless steel case, a 38 mm lug-to-lug length, and a slim 9.8 mm thickness. These compact dimensions give the watches a refined wrist presence, especially for those who prefer smaller, traditional dress watch proportions rather than oversized modern designs.
One of the standout design details is the box-shaped Hardlex crystal. This raised crystal style gives the HFH006P and HFH007P a distinctly retro feel, echoing the appearance of older dress watches that often used domed or elevated crystals. Paired with calf leather straps, the watches deliver a clean and timeless look suitable for business wear, formal occasions, or daily use.
Power comes from Seiko’s Calibre 6N01 quartz movement. This battery-operated movement is rated for an accuracy of approximately 15 seconds per month, offering dependable timekeeping with minimal maintenance. For buyers who want the Seiko name without the upkeep of a mechanical movement, these models provide a practical and accessible alternative.
The watches also include push-button folding clasps, magnetic resistance, and basic water resistance for everyday situations. Seiko has not listed a specific numerical water-resistance rating for either model, so they are best treated as dress watches rather than sports or outdoor watches.
Although the HFH006P and HFH007P are largely the same in design and hardware, there is one key difference in availability. The Seiko HFH006P is listed as a shop-exclusive model in Japan, while the HFH007P does not appear to carry the same restriction through Seiko’s Japanese online store. Neither version is being promoted as a numbered limited edition.
Both models are priced at ¥34,100 in Japan, including tax, which is approximately $215. Seiko is also offering a three-year warranty through its Japanese online store. Sales are scheduled to begin on November 20, 2026.
For now, Seiko has not confirmed international pricing or availability. Still, the HFH006P and HFH007P could attract attention from watch enthusiasts looking for compact Seiko dress watches with classic proportions, quartz reliability, and an affordable price point.
