Seiko Unveils Limited Bocchi the Rock! Chronograph Watch With Record-Inspired Dial
Seiko has introduced its first-ever Bocchi the Rock! collaboration watch, and it is aimed squarely at fans of Kessoku Band and collectible anime merchandise. The new limited-edition chronograph is being offered through U-Treasure, with only 300 units available worldwide.
Preorders opened on October 7 and will remain available until November 27, unless the full run sells out earlier. The watch is priced at 59,400 yen, which is approximately $375.
The biggest highlight is the dial design. Seiko has given the watch a black face with concentric grooves, creating the look of a vinyl record. It is a fitting choice for a series built around music, live performances, and band culture.
At the 12 o’clock position, the watch features a guitar-pick-shaped marker decorated with the Kessoku Band logo. The theme continues on the crown, which is also engraved with the band emblem.
The subdial at 6 o’clock adds a splash of color inspired by the four main characters: Hitori Gotoh, Nijika Ijichi, Ryo Yamada, and Ikuyo Kita. The Bocchi the Rock! name is printed beneath the subdial, giving the watch a clear but not overly loud anime identity.
The caseback is another major collectible detail. It includes the series logo, an individual serial number, and the Tsuchinoko of Shimokitazawa. However, U-Treasure notes that due to the case construction, the engraving on the back may not sit perfectly upright when the watch is assembled. In other words, the Tsuchinoko might appear at an angle, making each piece feel a little more unique.
Underneath the themed design, this is a practical Seiko quartz chronograph. It uses a Japanese quartz movement with an accuracy of approximately plus or minus 15 seconds per month. The battery life is rated at around three years.
The stainless-steel case measures 39.8 mm in diameter, 47.0 mm lug-to-lug, and 11.7 mm thick. It also offers 10 bar water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear. Seiko’s LumiBrite is applied to the hour markers, hour hand, and minute hand for better visibility in low-light conditions.
The watch comes with a stainless-steel bracelet designed to fit wrists from 14.5 cm to 19.5 cm. It uses curved Hardlex glass rather than sapphire crystal, which is common for many Seiko watches in this price range.
Each of the 300 watches will receive a serial number, but buyers cannot choose their preferred number. Serial numbers will be assigned at random.
U-Treasure has not yet confirmed the delivery schedule. The watch is available for preorder online and at U-Treasure concept stores in Ikebukuro and Shinsaibashi. A sample model is also on display at the Ikebukuro store during the preorder period.
With its vinyl-record dial, Kessoku Band details, character-inspired color accents, and extremely limited production run, this Seiko Bocchi the Rock! chronograph is likely to attract both anime collectors and watch fans looking for something unusual. Since only 300 units are being made, it may not stay available for long.
