Seiko Celebrates Love Live! Sunshine!! 10th Anniversary With Limited-Edition Aqours Chronograph
Seiko has introduced a new limited-edition quartz chronograph created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Love Live! Sunshine!!, the popular anime and multimedia franchise known for its school idol group Aqours. Designed with several fan-focused details, the watch blends Seiko’s classic chronograph styling with visual references from the series.
The special model is now available for pre-order, with reservations scheduled to close on August 27, 2026. Deliveries are expected to begin in April 2027. The watch is priced at $550 USD through international sellers, and availability appears to be limited.
Love Live! Sunshine!! first launched in 2016 as part of the broader Love Live! franchise, which spans anime, music, games, live performances, and merchandise. The story follows Aqours, a nine-member school idol group from Uranohoshi Girls’ High School. With 2026 marking 10 years since the group’s debut, this anniversary chronograph is aimed directly at longtime fans and collectors.
The watch’s most eye-catching feature is its vivid blue dial, inspired by Aqours’ signature color. Seiko has also added a crystal at the 10 o’clock index as a direct nod to the anniversary year. Another detail fans will recognize is the “Aqours Sunshine!!” text, a phrase associated with the group’s live concert countdown performances.
At the 6 o’clock subdial, Seiko includes the Uranohoshi Girls’ High School crest, one of the most recognizable symbols from Love Live! Sunshine!!. The blue crown adds another matching accent, helping the design feel cohesive without becoming overly flashy.
The back of the case is engraved with the Love Live! Sunshine!! logo and a unique serial number. Each number is assigned at random, meaning buyers will not be able to request a specific edition number. This serialized caseback adds an extra collectible element to the release.
Inside the watch is a Japanese quartz chronograph movement. While Seiko has not disclosed the exact caliber, the movement is rated for approximately three years of battery life and offers accuracy of around ±15 seconds per month. That makes the model practical for everyday use while still serving as a commemorative collector’s item.
The limited-edition Seiko Love Live! Sunshine!! chronograph will be distributed through select channels, with international buyers expected to access it through overseas ordering services. At the moment, there is no confirmation of a wider retail release.
With its Aqours-inspired blue dial, anniversary crystal marker, school crest subdial, and serialized caseback, this Seiko chronograph is clearly designed for fans who want more than standard merchandise.
