Seeed Studio reComputer Mini J5011 launches as a compact Nvidia-powered edge AI mini PC
Seeed Studio has introduced the reComputer Mini J5011, a compact industrial mini PC built for demanding edge AI applications. Designed for factories, robotics, smart infrastructure, machine vision, and automated inspection systems, this small but powerful computer brings high-performance Nvidia AI processing to environments where space, reliability, and fast local data processing matter.
At the center of the reComputer Mini J5011 is an Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin module, paired with 32 GB of LPDDR5 memory. This hardware combination gives the system serious AI acceleration capabilities, including 1,792 CUDA cores, 56 Tensor cores, and eight Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU cores running at up to 2.2 GHz. With AI performance rated at up to 200 TOPS, the mini PC is designed to process complex workloads directly at the edge without relying heavily on cloud computing.
That local processing power makes the reComputer Mini J5011 especially useful for real-time computer vision tasks. In industrial settings, it can support automated quality inspection, object recognition, defect detection, robotics control, and video analytics. By handling AI workloads on-site, businesses can reduce latency, improve privacy, and keep operations running even when network access is limited.
Despite its strong performance, the reComputer Mini J5011 remains compact. The system measures 119 x 119 x 100 mm, making it suitable for tight installations inside industrial equipment, control cabinets, robotics platforms, or embedded AI systems. It also supports a wide DC input range from 19V to 48V, which is useful for deployment across different industrial power environments.
Connectivity is one of the biggest strengths of this edge AI mini PC. It includes two Ethernet ports, with one offering high-speed 10 GbE networking. This is particularly important for applications that need to handle multiple high-resolution video streams at the same time, such as AI-powered surveillance, factory camera systems, or multi-camera inspection setups. A second Gigabit Ethernet port is also available for standard network communication.
For industrial integration, the reComputer Mini J5011 includes two CAN ports, two RS485 ports, and I2C support. These interfaces make it easier to connect the system to sensors, controllers, machinery, and automation equipment commonly used in industrial environments.
The mini PC also provides HDMI 2.1 for display output, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and one USB 2.0 port for peripherals. A USB Type-C port is included for debugging and system recovery. While built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not included by default, wireless connectivity can be added through an internal M.2 card slot.
The Seeed Studio reComputer Mini J5011 is currently listed at a discounted price of $2,399. Since it ships from China, buyers may need to account for additional import duties, local taxes, and shipping-related costs depending on their region.
Overall, the reComputer Mini J5011 is aimed at developers, system integrators, and businesses that need a compact yet powerful edge AI computer. With Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin performance, 10 GbE networking, industrial I/O, and a space-saving enclosure, it is positioned as a strong option for AI vision systems, robotics, automation, and other advanced edge computing projects.
