AMD is sweetening the deal for PC gamers planning an upgrade in early 2026. The company has teamed up with Pearl Abyss to bundle a free copy of Crimson Desert, the upcoming open-world action RPG, with select AMD CPUs, GPUs, and AMD-powered laptops. With the game launching on March 19, this limited-time offer is aimed at anyone who’s been thinking about switching to AMD hardware or refreshing their current setup.
Crimson Desert has been on many players’ radar since it was first revealed in 2019. Development hasn’t been straightforward, and the project has faced plenty of scrutiny as fans waited for a firm release plan. Over the past year, talk circulated about a potential shift from a late-2025 window to early 2026, but the studio later pushed back on the idea that there was a locked schedule at the time. That uncertainty is finally over: Pearl Abyss has confirmed March 19 as the release date, and pre-orders are already live with a $70 price tag.
For buyers, the big question is eligibility. If you purchase a qualifying AMD desktop processor, Radeon graphics card, or a laptop running an AMD CPU, you may be able to claim the game at no extra cost. The included hardware list covers some of AMD’s most in-demand parts, including high-end Ryzen 9 desktop chips such as the Ryzen 9 9800X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D. On the graphics side, newer Radeon options like the Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT are also part of the promotion. Exact eligibility depends on the specific model you buy, so it’s important to confirm the product qualifies at the time of purchase.
Timing matters, too. The campaign is live as of February 10 and runs through April 25, or until coupon codes run out—whichever happens first. After you receive a code, you’ll have until May 23 to redeem it through AMD’s rewards portal. AMD also requires users to complete a verification step: you’ll need to download a product verification tool that checks the eligible CPU, GPU, or laptop is installed in the same system where you’re claiming the reward.
One more detail PC players should keep in mind: while Crimson Desert is expected to be available on PC through major storefronts, this bundle redemption is limited to a single platform, with the current promotion tied to Steam. In other words, even if you prefer another launcher, the included game copy is meant to be redeemed only on Steam.
If you were already considering an AMD Ryzen upgrade, a new Radeon GPU, or an AMD-powered gaming laptop ahead of spring, this bundle effectively drops the cost of getting into one of 2026’s most anticipated action RPGs—so long as you act before the codes are gone.
