MSI is expanding its budget-friendly gaming monitor lineup with a new ultra-wide option aimed squarely at value-focused players. The MSI MAG 345CQRF E20 brings a large 34-inch UWQHD display and a fast 200Hz refresh rate to the entry-level space, with pricing that should land around the $200 mark in the US.
Designed for immersive gaming and multitasking, the MAG 345CQRF E20 features a 34-inch curved screen with a deep 1000R curvature that wraps more naturally around your field of view. It runs at a 3440×1440 resolution (UWQHD), offering a noticeable step up from standard 1080p displays while still being easier to drive than 4K for mainstream gaming PCs.
One of the big highlights is the 200Hz refresh rate, which is a bump over the previous generation’s 180Hz class and can help deliver smoother motion and cleaner input response in fast-paced games. MSI pairs that speed with a VA panel rated at up to 300 nits of brightness, a claimed 0.5ms GTG response time, and adaptive-sync support to reduce screen tearing and stutter during gameplay. The monitor also supports standard HDR, along with wide color coverage rated at 110% sRGB, which should help games and media look more vibrant compared to typical budget panels.
For connectivity, the MAG 345CQRF E20 includes HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.4a, which are well suited to the monitor’s resolution and high refresh target. There’s also a headphone jack for convenient audio output.
MSI also includes basic ergonomics you don’t always see at this price: height adjustment from 0 to 100mm, up to a 30-degree swivel, and a tilt range listed between 5 and 20 degrees, making it easier to fine-tune your setup for longer sessions.
Pricing is where this monitor could become especially popular. It has been listed at 1,599 RMB (about $230 USD) in China, and since pricing can run slightly higher there, the expected US price could land closer to $200. If MSI rolls the MAG 345CQRF E20 out beyond Asia-Pacific markets, it may end up being one of the more compelling low-cost choices for anyone hunting for a 34-inch ultra-wide 1440p gaming monitor with a 200Hz refresh rate.
